As if google maps wasnt already so awesome..they added satellite images !!

maps.google.com click no the word "satellite" on the top right..and vuala!!


For those who dont know..google maps lets you find pretty much anything in North America just by typing its name...say for example...Epcot Center

I found my house and the satelite photo is right on the money. (not something I could say about another company)

Zoom, zoom, zoom.

Try to do it on with the map portion first, zoom in all the way, then click on Satellite. :wave:

oh i tried zoom
maybe my town has a "no zoom" rule or something because it wont let me go any closer than the 4th (or maybe it was the 5th) zoom ticker thingy...

maybe this is due to it being a residential area?

Not all areas have full zoom capabilities.

Correct... it has to do with the type & age of the satellite it was shot with.. and the (meter) range capability of said satellite... some of the older ones.. were pretty limited ...compared to todays standards.
