A little late but I have some small ideas.

Here's one;

At night the entire building will have blue light illuminating it. Small character projections also appear on the sides of the restauraunt.

And another one;

At night, the inside atmosphere changes to a more relaxed enviroment, with darker and softer colors illuminating the walls. The paintings themselves also change.

Hey guys, I am so sorry I've been out of it.

I think that the menu's others hve worked on are great.

I do feel strongly though that we should have Minnie's Mac and Cheese and Walt's Special- Chilli with Beans, Soda Crackers, and a Tomato Juice.

I had another thought too, though it might be too late. What if the walls upstairs each featured cells from different scenes of Fantasia and played classical music to go along with it?

I'm trying to get better enough to go to my theater's annual dinner dance later tonight. So it's like a lose lose for me. IF I am still sick, I'll be online to work, if not I'll be at the dance and miss turn in time. My vote for team leader next round is Chrony.

I'm feeling better, so I'm gonna head to my dinner dance, I'll be gone until around 9pm. I think we have a lot of good work here.

Just a reminder of the origin story that ties us into the park, I wrote that on the 2nd or 3rd page. Also, the idea for the film is about a toon waiter who gets a job in the restaurant. Maybe he's trying to become an actor and hoping to make a connection by working on the studio.

I think the other thing that's important is that this type of restaurant will really give the park something it lacks a destination high-end eatery.

The Basics:
Our project is located in Animation Courtyard. The name of the restaurant is Walt's Place. The restaurant will have 3 floors. Bottom floor-entrance,middle-Ink and paint Club,top-Hyperion Room. The floors would be connected by an elevator that empties into a semicircular glass room that also serves as the check-in/reception area. The building would be the cream,green and terracotta of the surrounding buildings. At night,a blue lighting wash covers the building,black silouhettes of characters are shown. The building,like the rest of the area,pays tribute to classic,beloved Disney films.

Story:
Walt's place, the notorious hot spot for animation stars and moguls alike, has been world renowned for decades. While the current incarnation of the studio restaurant is well-known, what is less famous is the story of the first studio diner, a certified disaster. Walt was known to enjoy mixing business and food, having lunch with Mickey, Donald, and various other stars, and also hosting dignitaries and luminaries from around the world for dinner. When Walt conceived of his first restaurant he built it with only one dining room, a rather large central room with plenty of tables for both toons and executives alike. The result was chaos! Many a delicate business negotiation was interrupted by an exploding cake, chipmunk chased by a dog, or even a full blown spontaneous musical number. Furthermore, the toons were not at all pleased with the high end fare the executives desired, opting for Minnie's Mac and Cheese recipe over Roy's favorite fish. In an effort to keep everyone happy, and also maintain a central location for which toons and executives could conduct business lunches/dinners and grab a bite to eat between takes, Walt's Place was born. A stunning three story building complete with an open gallery for the toons to dine in, and a more upscale and posh dining room for the dignitaries, this restaurant demonstrates the two sides to Walter E. Disney (though it should be noted he dined downstairs far more often.)

The Dining Areas:
The dining areas would be on two separate floors,with two different themes. The middle floor would be the Ink and Paint Club,the top floor would be the Hyperion Room,the more elegant of the two. Adults and children would be welcome at both,but the Ink and Paint Club would be more geared toward children.

Both restaurants would have the same tables/chairs and similar menus. Both area would be lit by sconces on the wall,and lighting fixtures on the ceiling. Both areas would have a restroom in the reception area.The main difference would be atmosphere.

The reception area and elevator area would be the Toon Hall of Fame. It would feature portraits of well-known not featured in the restaurant.

The dining areas would be divided into multiple rooms devoted to some of the best Disney films ever produced. The rooms would feature screens that would function as virtual windows into a well-known scene from the film featured,where some of the main characters occasionaly come through and interact with guests. There would be colored backlit plastic panels of some of the main characters from the fims. The colors of each room would be shades of prominent colors in the films. Music from the films would play in trhe specific rooms.

At night,music becomes different slower/softer tracks,still from the movie. All lighting becomes dimmer,including backlit images,scenes in virtual windows become nightime scenes.

Snow White-Yellow
Oswald,Mickey-Black and White
Perter Pan-Green and orange

Keep in mind that there would be different shades of each color.

The Hyperion Room:

The reception area and elevator area will feature a "Disney Hall of Fame" with portraits of well-known executives,actors,and Imagineers.

The Hyperion Room would be a large open area with reds,blues,greys,white and wood elements to create a more elegant feeling. Cells from Fantasia would be on the walls and Fantasia music would be playing.

At night,lighting becomes softer and the muysic becomes different slower/softer tracks.

just wanted to say...awesome job everyone!

I realized that my 5 o'clock is different (it's just four here!) But I reinked the pencil sketch...I guess it's too late, but that's ok with me!

I'd like to thank you again for your hard work.

It was a nicely done project,although we have tough competition.

To the 2 of you I had to choose,it was tough. I'm so sorry!:( Nothing personal though.
