Good luck for Disney Dinner Ressies Late Sept.!

To those going to WDW in late September and hoping to get ANY dining reservations for dinner, I say good luck!

I tried getting reservations for Cinderellas Royal Table, Tony's Town Square, Libert Tree Tavern, Crystal Palace. All booked out. Also booked out: Mama Melrose, Sci-Fi, 50's Prime Time, Italy, Canada, and on and on. Disney obviously overbooked the promotion for free dining and it will be a nightmare for both guests and CMs. This is so wrong! How will anybody hope to get a meal under the wonderful dining plan? Get ready for the complaints because they are going to be severe (and justifiably so)!

"Dining your way" sounds more like "Dining, NO WAY!"

We got most of our PS that we wanted and we have a group of about 10 people...The only thing we didn't get was Cindy's for breakfast- but we got that for lunch instead :D We are going in November-December though and I don't think the dining goes till then- so maybe that's the difference?

IMO you are better off that you got the lunch instead of the breakfast. The cost difference is small and the difference in food is huge. We have done both and the lunch was way better.

You get a set menu to choose from and both my wife and I had the Major Domo's Favorite Pie and it was beyond awesome. The other stuff I am sure is as well but if we go back I will have to get the same thing as I would not be able to help myself.

Just prepare to not be hungry for dinner, it is filling...

My wife and I were pretty much able to get all of the ADRs that we wanted, the only exception being Chef Mickey's. It was completely booked for breakfast the entire week of our upcoming trip.

Well, I have had Dinner and breakfast there before and honestly, I liked the Dinner, but I loved the breakfast so I am a little disappointed, but it's not like I won't be going back someday so I will try again for the breakfast :)

I have had dinner there, but it was forever ago back when it was still King Stephan's. The princess lunch is a new thing that started no long ago and I just think for a character meal you are getting so much more for your money. I don't think the breakfast was bad, I just think it is not as good.

We usually do one princess breakfast at either Norway or Cindy's but this past trip we had gotten the lunch and it worked out well.

Let me know what you think. We were quite pleased. I also just feel that for a lunch or dinner CM it is such a bargain. The cost is not much more than you would spend for lunch or dinner at a sit down anyway and it gives you character interaction and let's adults get to eat a meal without the rush of the kids wanting to get out of there (at least in my daughter's case).

Have fun! :)

I sure will- we actually aren't going for that one until December 1st- but I will let you know :)
We have 7 adults going and 3 kids- 2 girls and 1 boy so I am sure the princess stuff will be great- my daughter loved the Princess breakfasts that we took her too before so I am sure the lunch will be fine :D

I just tried to change around some of my PS, and EVERYTHING I wanted was completely booked. Except for the really late PS, aka (9pm+).

This is for the week of Sept. 29-Oct 4. I wanted to change them because I have too many buffet's and wanted a couple of nice sit down places. No luck!

I'm going to keep trying through the week. Maybe someone will cancel. Has anyone had any luck of getting down there and getting PS, like if you called from the resort? On the same day. Thanks

the whole problem with the this system is that you can make as many seating times as you want and to many diffrent locations. i know we all like to keep our options open but buy doing this peopel take spots that will not be used. i am just as guilty as are many peopel, so i have made it a point to call and cancel spots once we make are dining decisions for our trip. i also feal that if thay took a deposit to the top ten dinning spots, like thay do at the castel for breakfest than this would open up tabels.

Actually, you're not allowed to hold a ressie for more than 1 location at a certain time, and any number of circumstances will result in someone noticing that you have - thus resulting in some dire circumstances as far as your ressies are concerned. Play fair and there will be no issue.
