I know!! I was just coming to post about the Florida resident rates and a slew of new military rates out this morning. Some of them are amazing! :)

Wow I did not even know they did resident rates for the cruises... Do they have them for AP holders as well?

They have great resident rates! They come and go, but when they have them they can save you a lot.

Typically they do not have AP holder rates, although this year for the first time ever, they offered some AP rates on California cruises for Disneyland AP holders. I still think it's doubtful, but within the realm of possibility I guess! :)

I'm wondering if Disney is having that much trouble filling the short cruises in September. These rates aren't being offered on the Fantasy. I checked that, too. :D I mentioned this to the old man and his opinion is that it's the economy paired with the time of year. Strange. I'm just sick with those prices. I'll be watching like a hawk because it could easily pay a little for us to switch to a FL resident rate if they offer them on our cruise even after taking the penalty for being inside the PIF date.

I definitely think it's time of year and economy. There aren't any military or Florida resident rates for the Fantasy but there are a lot of IGT, OGT and VGT's.

I'm technically a FL resident, b/c I still own my parents' home in Orlando. Sadly, I'd have to fly from MA to take advantage of that rate. If I were actually living there, I'd grab that offer in a heartbeat.

In Jan. '03 and '04, they had 4-night Passholder Cruises, with special pins, lanyards and discounts. It was awesome. I couldn't go, but I sent my wife just so she could get me the Passholder pins. :)

Yes, I should have said they haven't in years and years. :)

Awesome that you sent her for the pins though! Lol!

I know the feeling. We still own property in Pensacola but live in the southeast Houston area. To drive to the port is like 15 hours now. Or we could fly. If I was in Florida ~period~ I'd be pouncing. LOL! Right about now I'm hoping next Monday we'll see the same crazy FL resident rates roll a few more weeks out to include the 3-night Dream we're booked on (9/27). It'd be awesome to upgrade from an 11b to a 5a, pay penalties, and still generate a $170 credit. I'd take it! Then once we're at the port, if we could score an upgrade to a concierge stateroom the cost would be little to nothing over the $1200 total we paid for the cruise to begin with. :)

That's some dedication to pin collecting!!!

GAHHHHH. If only I lived in Florida. Cheap rates AND you don't have to fly to get there. I always see awesome deals for Disney stuff (off property usually) and even other non Disney cruises that would just be great to snag...but factor in $200 bucks per person for flights? Then it's stretching it. Siggggghhhh.

I feel your pain. All the Air Forces bases in the world we move around to, and can't get to Florida to save our lives! Maybe one day!! :)

Really really REALLY hoping Bill's residency will be in Florida. I'll take ANYWHERE in Florida. I figure a 3-4 hour drive is way better than a flight. Cross your fingers! We'll find out come December.
(please not Ohio, New York or New Jersey - please Florida or California! Haha)

I'd like my add my UGH to this thread! DDs birthday is 9/12 and mine is 9/15 so the 9/13 would be perfect for us! We are Florida residents, but my parents are coming to visit us from the 12th - 18th! if not for my parents, we'd be on that boat!
