A couple of options:

1. Take the bus from PO to Epcot, then walk through the park, and Yacht and Beach is just a short 5 min walk from the International Gateway.

2. Go to any other park, and then get a resort bus to Yacht and Beach.

If you feel like a walk before your meal, I'd recommend taking the bus to the Studios and then walking to the Yacht Club, instead of busing to Epcot and walking through the park. It takes the same amount of time, if not less to walk from the Hollywood Studios stop to the Epcot area hotels, and you won't have to deal with the in-park crowds while doing it. It's a much more peaceful option.

If you'd rather not walk, I'd recommend taking the first bus that comes, Downtown Disney or Hollywood Studios, and then using either a second bus from the Marketplace or the Friendship Boat from right around the corner of the Studios bus stop.

I'd take a cab from your resort straight to the Yacht Club. It's fast, easy, relaxing, and you aren't hiking in your "dinner" clothes before your meal. It shouldn't cost all that much either. I don't think we've ever paid more than $20 or so for a cab ride on-property including tip. :D

This is true, but in my experience, it's slower, both in wait time and travel time. On the average, the Downtown Disney buses take less time to travel and depart more frequently. If you're in no hurry, the boat to Downtown is definitely the nicer option, but if you have any sort of time crunch, I'd only recommend taking the boat if you luck out and happen to be walking by right as it's boarding.

I have to agree it's must easier, we stay in the magic Kingdom area but eat at at the Epcot resort area every trip and a cab is the way to go.

The best way is to just drive yourself there. If you don't have a car, you could just get on the bus to whichever park shows up first and then transfer to a Y&BC bus. That is what if do if I was doing it e free way. :)

Remember to allow 60-90 minutes, just like Disney told you.

The quickest way is definitely a cab.

Using disney transportation, you can take the bus to Epcot and walk through it to the Yacht Club.

Using disney transportation, you can take the bus to DHS and then take the boat to Yacht Club.

Both of those options will usually be faster than anything involving DTD.

We have an ADR at the Yachtsman Steakhouse in Disney's Yacht Club Resort.
What would be the best way to get to Disney's Yacht Club Resort from Port Orleans Riverside ?
Thanks

As WDW Magic stated, take the bus from PO to Epcot, then walk through the park, and Yacht and Beach is just a short 5 min walk from the International Gateway or go to any other park, and then get a resort bus to Yacht and Beach. Just so you know, if you choose the park option, this will count as an entry into the park and if you went to another park that day, you will need to have the park hopper. So just double check that. :)

Only if you enter and walk thru Epcot. If you go to Studios, there is no need to enter the park.

If you are planning on using this route please keep in mind that you must have a park ticket to get into Epcot to walk through the park. Unless you have the park hopper option or you are spending the day in Epcot it will use up one of your park days or you will not be able to get in.

Ignore the advice to "go to any other park" and take the Yacht Club bus from there.

It is a long way out of your way to bus to either AK or MK just to switch buses and retrace most of your trip on the second bus. The same applies to DTD, a boat there and bus to Yacht Club would be scenic, but not terribly efficient.

Least walking and no park admission required: Bus to DHS and boat to Yacht Club.
Most direct but a bit of walking and park admission [Hopper required if you've been to another park]: Bus to EPCOT and walk through park to Yacht Club.

My biggest issue is spending an hour or more of precious time traveling. Why? A cab would take 15 minutes max. My impatience will someday be my undoing, I fear. LOL!

Thanks for the information we do have park hopper tickets. I like the ideal of a boat ride back after we eat, this will be our anniversary dinner.
