And now for the boo-hiss moment. I checked into Pop Century and was given a yuckey room. Yes, i know it happens, but it shouldn't - and i'm going to post the photos on the net and tell everyone how craptastic it was.

I felt like one of the three bears after a Goldilocks encounter. Someone had been sleeping in my bed.

And someone obviously didnt know how to use a towel rack!

And the floor is apparently a waste bin as well as a laundry bin too.

Boo! Hiss! Not magical, and really kind of gross. Oh well, i got a clean room later, but that was yuckey.

Yikes. Sorry to hear that. Let's hope that's not a common occurance. This is the last thing someone should have to worry about at check-in. I'll be staying at Pop in another week & a half. Hopefully this isn't what I see when walking through the doors.

Merf-Man thanks for the update. Are these blue orb light things in SSE very three dimensional in the sense they float in space with the triangles, or are they stuck in the wall?

Glad to see the year of a million mardi gras design is finally off the monorail(s).

I can give you my exxpert opinion but it won't be till august but if its anything like wings i have had down there it won't be a good review.

I think we are spoiled in Buffalo . . . at least where the wings are concerned. :lookaroun

Thanks for the update Merf.

Someone needs to taste test the Tomorrowland wings and let us know how they are.

I am not all that far away from you over near Albany and have had plenty of wings in Buffalo, but can't a guy hope that he could have a great day in MK and have a few wings. The big problem is that you can't wash them down with a beer.:lookaroun

Thank goodness that fairy decal is off the monorail. :sohappy: Whatever replaces it will be a definite improvement.

The glass blowing is really cool...well, figuratively speaking anyway. Is it on Main Street? I would have thought somewhere in the Italy Pavilion would have been more appropriate, since Italy is famous for glass blowing.

Uh, no. It's been changed every year.
That's what I was gonna say...I have a pic from at least the past 2 years and it's been changed.

On to Merf's update...I also think that the dining guide should stay even after the holiday weeks. That's a brilliant idea and can be really helpful.

Thanks for the update Merf!

I love the F&G beach theme this year! I went last year to F&G and went topiary photo crazy! I need to check out some of the other new additions this year.

As for the YOMD wraps on the monorails, new ones are being put on soon. The new ones are going to fit more with the whole castle in the clouds theme than the old ones did.

:( Awww...I was really hoping the wraps would be done....it's so nice to see them in Merf's pics with no wrap. Oh well.

That dining guide sounds really interesting; I'd love to see it as well.

Thanks so much for the pics and the update, Merf!

The glass blowing is part of the Crystal Arts store on Main Street. It's on the corner of the cross-street (the one that got filled in to make the Emporium) attached to the bakery. The glass blowing is toward the back, actually using up much of the once-abandoned space on that side street.
