As for the YOMD wraps on the monorails, new ones are being put on soon. The new ones are going to fit more with the whole castle in the clouds theme than the old ones did.

I am not all that far away from you over near Albany and have had plenty of wings in Buffalo, but can't a guy hope that he could have a great day in MK and have a few wings. The big problem is that you can't wash them down with a beer.:lookaroun

that is a huge problem! i also cant imagine eating wings in that weather..

Merf-Man thanks for the update. Are these blue orb light things in SSE very three dimensional in the sense they float in space with the triangles, or are they stuck in the wall? :wave:

Indeed they are. I just went on SSE yesterday and I was happy and amazed to see that there. Great effect. You can definitely not tell if they're hanging from the wall or not. Best example I could give: Reminds me somehow a LOT of the scene in Nemo where Dory discovers the little bulb fish that turns out to be the Angler. Very nice stuff.

I myself was happy to see stuff was being worked on throughout. There are TONS, and I mean TONS of stuff that's been changed since I last gone on in December. Very nicely done...except for the triangles. I know they're probably not finished, but...I'm a fan of abstract design/art...and I don't get why they're there, haha. It's still making me scratch my head.

It's funny though, I laughed when they actually put a disclaimer saying that the vision of the future might have technology 'not yet known to us'. I chuckled when I heard that when I remember you guys talking about how if there's even flying suitcases that are being invented right now, haha. :lol:

well I got a response from a rep at disney about SSE descent...so maybe if they keep adding things to the descent and tweak it, they will eventually allow people to turn off their touch screens after choosing where they live, and then can ride the descent with their screen off. :shrug:

It's nice to see they are still tweaking the judi dench narration.....if they could just edit out the thank the pheonecians, world wide web, and backup system refrence....:lol:

she has some stunning lines though......"learn to survive.....together!" and "networked, online, poised to shape the future..." very nice lines....but pheonecians don't compare.

my cousin had a prob. at pop, they accidently gave them a room that had been occupied and not yet clean. needless to say they were more then happy to get them a new room, and meal credits for the trouble. mind u this was at 3:00 am after extra magic hours, they had been at the parks all day and had checked in when they got there from the airport.
so yeah....also i think the new make your own mouse ears is nice, except i didnt really like the computerized embroidery. i leave sat. and am hopeing to get a nice emb. mickey ear some where else

And now for the boo-hiss moment. I checked into Pop Century and was given a yuckey room. Yes, i know it happens, but it shouldn't - and i'm going to post the photos on the net and tell everyone how craptastic it was.

Boo! Hiss! Not magical, and really kind of gross. Oh well, i got a clean room later, but that was yuckey.

Same thing happened to me once. I stayed at All Star Movies. I checked in early one morning and went off to the parks as no rooms were available. Later, when I went into my room, it looked like your first photo. I called the front desk and they said someone would come move me. Now I am tired as I have been in the parks all day and it is after 11pm. 20 minutes later, I call back as no one had come. About 10 minutes later, a "manager" comes and moves me to a "preferred view" room. :king:

Besides the usual your comments are important to us (like hell they are), anyway that I was not the only one to complain about the descent, but not in the sense of "oh my god chicken wire", complaining in the sense of what other guests have....nothing to see if touch screen computer malfunctions, the screen is very bright on the eyes with nothing around to help offset the contrast, and some guests have complained of car-like sickness, in the sense of watching a video while going backwards.

They said they aren't finished with the descent yet

No response if they will allow guests to have the option to turn their screens off. :zipit:

I assume the descent will have more abstract shapes, and stars added on and hopefully will be finished by the summer rush.

Even if they don't allow guests to have the option of turning their screen off...if there's more to see and look at, one can always throw their coat or something to block the touchscreen and look around the descent.


Merf we need a new video starting at 180top with the new musical score mix, traveling through the inifinite star worm hall and then showing video of the descent as it is now with more blue triangles and blue angler orbs. :wave:
