Giving Thanks for Magic Friends

I have a funny story about that.......:lookaroun...though one not suitable for sharing on a public forum! ;)

I did the dorm life for a year (it was required for all freshman not originally living within 50 miles or so to live in a dorm their first year), and the sorority house for the next three years (it was MUCH cheaper than an apartment). I'm definitely glad I experienced all that I did. It was such a fun time. :)
Now THAT sounds interesting

Sooo... I need help. i'm supposed to bring a side dish for Thanksgiving. Sweet Potatoes and Green bean casserole are already spoken for. I need something cheap that will feed a lot of people.

Ideas anyone?

My best friend went to Japan for a year. OMG I was so jealous of her... One day, I swear, I'll make it over there.
Meh. Too long of a flight. :dazzle:

Hey guys back from lunch!

Can I ask you college people something??

Did I totally miss out on the best years of my life because we couldn't afford to send me to a college that required me to stay ina dorm? I commuted to school, and because of the circumstances of my life at the time, I couldn't have possibly gone away for school. I never really made many friends because they were all doing things at night and I'd have to drive back home afterwards. Did I miss out on something? i feel like I did...:(

I feel that way sometimes too. My college story has a lot of family drama...long story short my parents got me a new car so I would live at home and commute to a school I never wanted to go to and ended up leaving anyway.

For me, because all of my other friends had the typical college dorm experience and when they talk about stuff like that I feel kind of left out. On the other hand, a year into it, I was living in my own apartment in Florida when they were still living in the dorms. For me its give and take I feel a little of both ways depending on the day.
