About 14, including kids. I just don't have the energy to clean up after Christmas morning and then get ready for dinner afterwards. PLUS we'll be missing out on Christmas morning at HIS parents because I'll be too busy cleaning. :brick:

That's what my mom said  Makes you want to go back.
Look...don't stress yourself out about cleaning...it all doesn't have to be spic and span. I mean, get it looking decent...but you don't have to stress about it.

But at least it will just be the three of you Cmas morn - that's good.

I had a question about y'all doing DVC - is it something you paid for up front, or are paying on? I have no idea how it works, and we probably will never be able to afford it, but it would be wonderful to have our own kitchen and a separate sleeping space. The next time we go we're getting two connecting rooms at Pop so we can have the extra bathroom and our own bed spaces - both of the kids are windmills in their sleep.

Well, it's definitely not a definite. He's applied to work at the Nick Family Suites by Universal. They're looking for his exact job...so, never know.

And my work isn't looking great at the time being...so now would be a good time to move...should we decide to take the plunge.

I'm ready! Let's go! :lookaroun

I'm not stressing out TOO much... Believe me, when we don't have company coming, I'm not too much of a fussy-pants about cleaning. As long as there's not an inch of dust on everything and I can't make little hairballs from the fuzz on the carpet, I'm good. I've got a cross stich that says something to the effect of "housework will keep, but babies grow up!" I'd much rather let the house go, than not have fun with my kiddo. :D

I know...she was so good about her TR! :)

 You two! It's only talk right now. Nothing major has been planned. And we haven't even really talked about it too seriously. Just kind of small talk about it.

Yes...that's my philosophy on cleaning, but I think I go a little less lax than you would... But when you clean, you seem to clean.

Funny thing is, I thought of you and the cabins when we were there - i can't imagine paying out of pocket for a room like that or ours. it just isn't feasable for us. they have financing packages available to you, but you could always find your own financing, just like when you buy a car. You have the option of paying for it all up front, or a big chunk of it, if that works out better for some people. They're pretty flexible about it.

The way we looked at it, was she's young still, and we're SO going back to Disney manymanymany times in the future. It's a great savings, especially if you get rooms with kitchens and stuff. i don't know how we could have done it with her naps in a normal room. One of us would have had to sit there in the dark while she slept. :dazzle:

Seriously, go on the tour when you go down ther again. They're VERY loose about it. it's not like any other timeshare presentation I've ever been to. NO pressure, and I MEAN that.

Dangit - my headache's back - and I made sure I had some caffeine today, I was sure that's why my head hurt yesterday - now I'm beginning to think it's this stupid bug.

Yeah.. when company's coming? I go into manic mode. That's why I like having people over once in a while. It forces me to get everything spic and span... and then it slowly goes back to normal. Gotta love entropy.

Gosh, I just don't know if we would go down enough to justify the investment....I mean, it might motivate us to make it a yearly thing, but there's other stuff in our lives that need to be paid for - I'm thinking college in 6 1/2 years :dazzle: - but I might look into that tour. Certainly can't hurt.

(hugs)
Alot of people walking out with their belongings today. :(

Odd that they would do it on a Monday... Normally layoffs are on Fridays.

That sounds like my mom

Glad I'm not alone

It doesn't have to be yearly. When you bank your points, you can go every other year, and then have a twice as long vacation. It's kinda complicated, with a language all its own. But there are many ways to get the best value for your vacation dollar.

DVC has a DVD they'll send you, right? Maybe I'll start there....

And free pastries/coffee or lemonade/iced tea/peppridge farm cookies at the beginning too. :lookaroun
