Hi Jenny, how has your day been so far?

Quite productive, thanks. :) Kitchen is almost clean - I'm just going through my recipe box at the moment trying to straighten it out - gives me a good excuse to sit down. :animwink: I have all these recipes on little bits of paper, some of which I need for cooking tonight, so I'm transferring them to recipe cards.

Cool! How's Abby been feeling this week?

I need to have a productive evening tonight and do some picking up at home. We'll see how that goes.

Okay - although her back's been bothering her. I suspect gym. They have them run a certain number of laps, but they aren't teaching them to stretch or how to breathe properly. She said a girl threw up blood yesterday and another girl had an asthma attack. I'm all for fitness, but if they can't bother to teach them how to do it properly, it's a waste of time. :( My short rant for the day.
Anywho, I have some baking tonight and macaroni salad to make also - we're ordering a sub tray from Quizno's for tomorrow, and pizza for the kids, so it's not really a lot of cooking. Just need to get it done. :)

Hi Jenny!

I know, doesn't make sense - but gym never did to me. :o

Hi Nibblies - still have your kitty around, huh? :animwink: I'm incredibly excited for your trip to Mousefest, can't wait to hear all about it. My friend here comes home from WDW tomorrow - she's in for a rude shock temp wise. *laughs evilly to myself* :lookaroun

 OMG are you kidding?! That's just insane to be that hard on kids for gym! You are so right if they don't teach them how to breathe and stretch what's the point. What happened to the good ol days when you just played matball or games in gym.

You know, at the time gym didn't make sense to me either...now though, I wish I still had gym class...I realized I loved playing all the games that kept me active and because of gym class, I was thinner. I'm trying to get that back by playing racquetball with WHF now once a week. :)

And yes...kitty hasn't gone anywhere. She was just inside, just fed her. She definitely prefers the outdoors though. But she doesn't like to stay inside for long.

I'm super excited for Mousefest too! I honestly can't wait! Too think, a week from today, I'll be at DHS right now! :sohappy: Debbie from the podcast is down there now though. She's having a great time. We talked to her about it last night for a future episode.

Well, we always had to run too in gym...but they never pushed us apparently as hard as they're pushing these kids...

I think I would have actually enjoyed gym more if they had stressed the importance of fitness - yes, we played games and all, but the competition was never healthy, just bullying...and sometimes that came from the teachers too. So I absolutely hated gym. But if they emphasized personal fitness and taught how to accomplish that, with some healthy fun games thrown it...completely different attitude from me.

Yay! Score high on Toy Story Mania for me! :sohappy: Can't wait to ride that again - it was a huge hit with all my family. :D

Yes...the bullying and stuff was definitely not fun. Luckily in high school, our classes were so large, we didn't have too much problem with bullying for some reason.

And I'll definitely be riding TSMM...my mom's never been on it and I can't wait to take her there! :)

I am so jealous!!!

I can't remember really running running, we usually only did stuff like that during the physical fitness test. I actually loved gym in high school I had it last hour right after band, and since it was the end of the day we usually got to do whatever we wanted play basketball, walk around the track, play football etc.

[Okay seriously! I just did it again!]
