Actually we're going to Mohegan Sun tomorrow night to pick up DS and his GF. It was much cheaper for him to take a bus to the casinos than to take the train or bus home, and it's only about a 45 minute drive from here, so it works out well for us. No really hectic driving.

Of course, they'll be on the bus with a bunch of nasty old ladies, but, oh well!

Oooo.. Mohegan Sun... They have one of the best buffets :slurp:

Hey, Dot. Yup! How about you? You will be there a couple of days before me.

Sure! The airfare has dropped considerably since we booked (of course). Jetblue is now less than $200 round trip.
SW price hasn't budged for our February trip, but it's President's week, so we're pretty much at their mercy I guess.

Yes, Dave's brother and his wife brought us there for our anniversary. It was amazing!

When we go up there every year, the entire bus party eats at the normal buffet. mom and I head in further to eat at the fancy buffet... Soooo good. It's not your normal buffet that has a foccacia station. :slurp:

I was really surprised to see Jetblue go down. We ended up with a $200 credit, but I would have much preferred to have booked at the lower rate. Oh, well. We booked SW for Abby's April vacation, the day the fares were released, and they have gone way up since I booked.

Family stress over the holidays can be...Oy!
We solved that by spending the holidays at home and letting anyone who wants to come, come to us. It's usually just us and the kids and we like it that way

Well, with WHF's family, it's a whole big fiasco, b/c his parents don't live here, and his grandparents are fussy and his uncle is a big pain in the @$$...and so, this was just the best option so his grandma didn't have to cook, his parents didn't have to bring food, and everybody can eat what they want. And hopefully, his uncle will be forced to behave himself b/c he's in public...at least one can only hope!

Honestly, you don't know how much I just want ot join you guys. I'm not all that attached to the food itself. It's the getting together part that's important

I'd settle for Charlie Brown's ice cream, popcorn and toast. :lookaroun
Which, incidentally, he'll be making again tonight at 8:00.
I love that one!
That Peppermint Patty...she's a pushy one.
