give blood

today i decided to go and donate blood and it was the scarist thing i have ever done. but after it was done i felt fine and i am really proud that i beat my fear of giving it and just wanted to say that i think if u get the chance some facts that i was told.

1)they take 2/3 of a pint.

2)the 2/3 can provide enough to save 1 grow ups or 4 babys life.

Yep, I gave blood about a month ago...

It's not bad...and it makes you feel good after...like you've done something to help someone.

yeh it does and its not that bad but i have a fear about neddles, and i want to be a doctor. No over the last year i have really tried to face all my fears and that was the last one, my other main one was heights and i did that by doing a parachut jump and it was amazing.

I used to always give blood, but in the past 2 years I have been to Singapore and to Kenya, so unfortunately that counts me out of donating for a while.



A shame really, becaus eit is such a worthwhile thing to do, at very little discomfort to yourself. I would urge anyone who can, to give it a go. It really does save lives.
