It seems the people on studioscentral like us a lot. (Sarcasm)

Very interesting post. I think there might be something else planned for Pixar Place in addition to this. I remember some other rumors but can't remember the specifics. Great detective work!

Goodnight all you "gods of WDW":lookaroun

(you had to be there)

Oh, and the board has decided all clocks at WDW should be moved up an hour tonight and the memo has gone out! The work of the gods of WDW is never finished.

I don't think one person's opinion on another site should dictate how we feel about a site as a whole. Each person is entitled to their opinion...

To me, I guess we're all one big community. Although I'm not a regular anywhere else, I have contributed on other forums, and try to stay somewhat active in the community.

The only reason I've kept mainly to this site is because it was one of the first I was a member of, and I have a lot of people I consider friends here....if not family at this point. :)

I guess what I'm getting at is there is no reason to start a huge war. I think a little communication goes a long way.

I don't think anyone is starting a war. The site in question is amazingly maintained and very informative. I wish there were MK, Epcot and AK sites that were as well done. Just having a little fun here. :)

I agree. And my post over there was mostly directed at the person who made the sarcastic "gods of WDW" comment.

God bless the "Ignore" button.
It sounds impressive, technologically, but I don't know how much fun it could be to watch a desk lamp "hop" out, shine a bit, and go home.
I'm anticipating that Disney has at least a bit more than that planned for it.

No less "fun" than watching dolls march around the front of Small World in Disneyland, or watch the changing colors on the Castle during the Kiss Goodnight, or watching the seagulls squawk "Mine! Mine!" outside Seas, but they're still nice little touches that add to the overall "magic" of the parks.

It's definitely not intended to be a major audience draw, and probably is something that 80-90% of the Guests will never see (or pay much attention to if they DO see it). But for those Guests who *do* stop and watch, it'll be a little magical moment that enhances their vacation and defines how Disney sets itself apart from the rest.

Hmm, I kind of like this idea of an animatronic Luxo at Pixar Place. I am very interested to the finished product and how long it lasts before breaking down and being made stationary or closed off completely.

Will this thing be on a track? Will this be a cast member in a costume, or is this going to be a animitronic like Beaker and Dr. Honeydew?

Someone mentioned that it will be on a turntable. And I don't think you could really devise a costume of a desk lamp that someone could fit in.

I don't think it's a bad idea, but wouldn't it be kind of ugly seeing it from Hollywood Blvd and other places in the park? Maybe I'm thinking it's bigger than what you guys are, I don't know. What I do know is that a giant Luxo looming over the Chinese Theatre isn't something I wanna see.

Maybe if it was small enough so that you would only see it when you were in Pixar Place.

I'm thinking it'll kind of utilize the technology of the jumping brer rabbit in splash mountain. it makes sense to me anyway.
