Getting kicked out of Disney for cutting in line...doubt it will ever happen!

So this other one said, "Well I'm going to report this because yeah, that CM handled it completely wrong and this is one of the few times they could have caught a cutter, since people witnessed it and we would have been able to show management where and how and so forth." And then they thanked us and said Sorry for everything and they did ask did we want to speak to management so we could tell them everything and they could get us a fast pass or something but I told the CM that no it wasn't necessary and that if they reported it, that would be fine. And the CM said "Okay and that yes they definitely were telling their supervisor ASAP and that's why they wanted the other CM's name so they could be dealt with. I'd assume getting fired but it might have been a write-up and some retraining.

Yes, thanks for that. Shortly after being fired my wife left me, I lost my home and I'm now homeless. I spend my days wondering I Drive in the blazing heat performing card tricks for loose change and drinking whatever I can afford. Things are looking up slightly though as there's another homeless person called Bertha who I've had my eye on. She spends most of her time unconscious, but when she is lucid she's marginally more interesting. I'm trying to learn to ignore her constant dribbling and the overpowering smell of body odour when I get too near her, but once I've overcome that I see a bright future for us together. So yeah, once again thanks for that

Line jumpers

And if the other guy throws the first punch the he can be charged with assault.
Very true, and I think the line jumpers know that because I've never had one even threaten to get physical... though I must admit the last time it happened at the Mine Train I was really hoping they would throw a punch.

I've witnessed most of these line cutting techniques posted. It is aggravating but more rare than it seems in the moment. For every 2000 guests I see going about the lines normally, it's the one cutter that gets remembered.

And honestly to me karma is mostly about the experience of life from that perspective. In the case with a chronic cutter, it's still going to be a lesser experience with the distraction of always watching over their shoulder, dealing with negative feedback and constantly rolling the dice of possible rejection. Normal line abiding folk don't need to waste so much energy.
I'm don't give much credence to karma, if there was such a thing as karma I would expect to walk down the sidewalk and having to constantly step over the bodies of people that had crossed the line so many times that karma had to just send a bolt of lightning to strike them down because it was the only way left to balance things out. If a day comes when I do have to start walking over dead bodies then I'll start believing in karma.

Statistically it just doesn't follow. Most fights will have a victor and loser.......

Most fights.... especially at WDW, are from 2 out of shape, scared, and untrained guys who push each other a few times and miss with most swings and don't hurt anyone with the ones that do connect. Complete with wives/girlfriends shrieking in the background or trying to pull one/both of them away. There is no victor or loser, just two morons who walk away who then make up stories later on and tell people how much experience they have fighting and dropped the MFer because they are a bada*s and were totally justified because the other person started it, since they have to cover for the fact they are so stupid macho they had to get in a fight rather then wait the 10 seconds extra in line.

You know, really cool people we should all look up to. And I thank god the internet was invented so we can all find their stories and I can feel lesser of a man since I can get mad, but learned to let it go and not get into a fight over it.

Actually I think most fights at WDW aren't started by men but rather by women and probably more involve a woman attacking another woman... And in all out trips I've only seen one fight and it was two women. Makes me wonder if there are any youtube videos of fights at Disney.

Well said. Karma, as people use the term today, is just a weird form of schadenfreude. People like to feel good about others misfortunes and their idea of karma allows them to feel like the person deserved their misfortune. But some people are born a horses behind and will always be a horses behind. They will not suffer from it, and may actually find success because of it. They will live their life, do well, have issues as we all do, retire, and die pretty happy overall without ever "getting what they deserve" . Just the way it is.

But few can be categorized as good/bad so easily in black and white. I am sure all of us have been someones horses behind at one time or another. Probably without even knowing it.

Queue justice warriors. I agree that people are the worst but I’ve never seen anything positive happen by confronting people at Disney World. I don’t accept their behavior but I also think there are ignorant idiots in any globby mess of people who think they’re the end, you know? There are better battles to pick, like arguments against the Skyliner justice warriors.

The reason the Orlando parks usually don't address it is, it isn't that common, when it happens it isn't always easy to tell if they're legitimately line jumping or confused foreigners, and the impact a few people moving ahead of you in line has on your wait time is basically nothing.

You tube is the only winner here.

There are definitely a few to see if you search.

I think one of the biggest myths is how tight Disney security is. I know security is there, and there are cameras that can see most anything that happens, but there is no way they have enough staff to watch all 50k people and stop all problems before it happens. Yet I always see people saying how they quietly take care of things and that is why you don't see stuff happen and they will always catch anyone.

Disney probably supports those rumors online because it helps keep people in line. But from some of the videos on YouTube, you can see how long it takes for security to get to some locations. Even that drunk that climbed the Mexico pyramid a few years ago ended up getting away. Shoot, I have seen a lot of things that i'm surprised security didn't show up for. But, while certainly some incidents happen, I think it is a rather small amount compared to the number of people in the parks.

One notorious fight was in Epcot several years ago during Food and Wine. A recent graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy was very drunk and went backstage. He stole a golf cart, assaulted 3 CMs with a metal pole all who had injuries and went to the hospital. Police and cast members subdued the drunk and administered street justice on him. He was arrested with facial injuries.

Almost right. The person who subdued him was either in the forces or ex forces and just happened to be outside Club Cool when it happened. I arrived just after it happened and this one guy was on the back of another guy pinning him to the floor with his face squashed on the concrete. Anytime the guy beneath him struggled he just increased the pressure of the hold and the idiot soon stopped struggling. He told the cm's he was in or ex forces and asked them to clear the area and get security. I'm 99.9% certain those facial injuries occurred at this point and not by the cm's or police.

I agree 100%. If it was turning into Coney Island in the 1930's it would be one thing, but I think that in a given 120 minute stand-by wait, the effect of line jumping is probably at most 1-2% of your wait time. If anything your gripe is one on principle and little else that's actually practical. The best way to avoid long lines is to work on getting the best Fast Passes, or to game plan to go to Disney when its less crowded. Worry less about a few people slipping through from time to time.

Let me make sure I understand this. So when I get in the 2 hour standby line for FoP, I don't have to use the bathroom. But after waiting for any hour, I really need to. And if I leave, I'm considered cutting in line when I return and am subject to removal from the park if a CM spots me? I usually tell the people standing behind us that I'm leaving to use the bathroom. I try to remember to tell the CM at the entrance. But Disney would rather I remain in line and pee in my pants? That explains why parents let their kids pee in line....

Or maybe when you leave to use the restroom, the CM at the entrance can hand you the Disney version of the bathroom hall pass.
my question is why do I never see any one leave the line (to go pee) but I see people going to the front to be with their group. I assume if someone left to pee then came back id prob see them leave the line :)
not directed at you btw, you have a valid point

I don't think line cutting should be tolerated but I don't agree with the OP that Disney doesn't do anything about it because I witnessed it myself. A few years ago now, my hubby and I were at The Little Mermaid ride at Disney World. We got to the beginning of the line and started through the maze to get to the inside, if you know what I'm talking about and it can go on for a bit. However, luckily it was not backed up, so we were able to make it inside without having to wait, but just before we got to the building, two people came from the side area and blatantly cut right in front of us and hurried on in. I looked at the area to my left where the people had come from and it seemed at first like it might be the fastpass line but then I realized it wasn't as the fast pass lane on the inside was in a different area and was contained and had nothing to do with where the people came from. Also this area had a chain to block, obviously meaning for no one to go through but these two just unhooked it and then hooked it back and went on through, cutting. I was upset and decided to alert a CM. So as me and hubby are now making our way through the inside to get to the ride and with the cutters also in front and making their way as well, we all got to the ride. I stopped and told the CM, that was guiding everybody to the "conveyor belt" to get on the ride, what had happened and they just looked over at the cutters, who are now about to get on the ride, and the CM just shook their head and looked at us and said, "Yeah people do that." Like oh, well. Nothing we could do about it.

Now I'm mad. This CM obviously didn't care enough about their job to understand that this was more than just the two cutters. There was obviously a section of the outside maze that was blocked and yet these people had found a way to get there and then bypass the barrier when no one was looking, like they owned the place, knowing full well what they were doing. This is a prime example of the type of cutting that is what they say is supposed to get you banned at Disney. So while riding the ride I got even more upset. After we got off and also seeing the cutters get off as well and they continue to make their way through the park with no care in the world, I decided to inquire about things. So while hubby and I were walking though the park a little bit we ended up seeing another CM. Told them what we witnessed and they got a little upset and said yeah that's not to be tolerated and that cutters should be identified and that next time we need to let the nearest CM know while getting on a ride and so forth. "Oh we did and they didn't care and didn't do anything about it apparently" is what we told the CM and then they really got upset and they ended up explaining some things to us. According to this CM the first thing that should have happened was that the CM we reported the cutting to could immediately get a manager or security to get to the end of the ride so when the cutters are leaving, they are there waiting and can catch them and escort them out of the park, possibly getting banned. Then the CM would have asked us to please wait before getting on the ride so another manager/security could come up and we could show them where it happened so they would know and monitor the situation for awhile. And then we'd be allowed back to get on the ride and probably given a fast pass or something to help appease the customer for having to get out of line and back in and so forth and helping them. You know. Well I then told the CM that yeah we did tell this CM what happened and they didn't do any sort of the thing and no there was no security or anybody waiting at the end and that we saw the cutters get off the ride and exit just like we did at the end and they obviously got away with it.

So the CM said to me, "Did you get the CM's name?" And guess what? I had. I had definitely remembered looking at the tag because once I realized nothing was going to try to even be done about the situation, I knew I needed to get the CM's name and I did.

I didn't mean for this to be so long, it's just that I'm warning anybody who thinks they can cut at Disney World or Disneyland, they might want to refrain because I got some info on how management handles it, if and when they can catch a line cutter. They apparently don't mess around with that. It's just that I got a bad CM that didn't care to do anything about it in the beginning, which was unfortunate. So if anybody out there is thinking about doing it, I wouldn't. Plus it's just bad manners all around. My two cents on the subject.

Wow. Do you really want a affect a CM's job over this?
