This world cup has been a disaster for me. The US, England, now Germany. I am at a loss on who to root for.

What an interesting final! France and Italy each scored in the first twenty minutes (France in a penalty kick). For the rest of the game, the score remained even. Italy scored a second time, but it didn't count, due to offsides.
In the last 15 minutes of overtime, the French captain (Zidane) was redcarded, after viciously headbutting an Italian player. What a great way to retire from the sport! This was his last World Cup, and he won't be remembered well.
The game ended in a penalty shootout. Italy made all five of its shots; France only made three. So the '06 World Cup went to Italy this year! I was rooting for France, and I still think France played really well. This just wasn't its year, though.
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the 2010 World Cup. It's gonna be in South Africa (I have family there). So I'm probably gonna see a few games!

That was such a RANDOM thing for Zidane to do! Jeeeeez.
Italy was the one team that I did NOT want to win. And they win it. Typical.
Anyway, I got to watch the action at the ESPN Club at Disney's Boardwalk. My friend and I painted out faces and dyed our hair, and we were interviewed by the Tampa Tribune... which is weird.
