Planning on 1300 today. Almond Joy, 7up, and maybe Chocolate white chip.

They are basically a lemon butter cookie. I started adding lime zest to them and renamed them 7up cookies. They are good especially if they sit about a week in an air tight container. The flavors get much better.

I like the blue roses.
My final project for my pastry degree was a wedding cake. I did black roses and piping on white fondant. My chef hated it but another chef, Monique Hooker, loved it and saved my final grade.

Art is so subjective. What one person loves, another person hates.

I actually made the roses, and E put them on the cake. She doesn't feel like she's good at roses, so I made them for her.

Baked some more today.
Mrs. Spanish needed Chocolate Chips for gifts. Banana nut muffins cuz I had bananas. And there are chocolate pistachio biscotti in the oven.

Love this - My poor mom - 3 kids who never respected the fabric scissors! She was a saint.

What do children do with scissors- seriously. My sister, brother, and I always lost the pairs my parents bought and now - even 20+ years into my parenting - my own kids make them disappear daily! I buy 5 pairs every back to school season and - poof! - they are gone within the year! (I just know my mom is laughing up in heaven about it )
