(did you all catch that the price is per liter--not per gallon as we are accustomed to. There are approximately 4 liters in a gallon.)
It works out to about $6.48 per gallon. Also, I have 80 gallons of gasoline in storage for use with my generator during hurricane season. I bought that gasoline at $2.20 a gallon, so if prices go too high, I can always dip into my hurricane cache. :D

If i dont go on a vacation sometime this year ..ill go ...coo-coo...:brick:

Lets see, ill be visiting the mouse house in early july for a week....i get a big discount by going to the hilton hotel (200 for the week), im planning on getting an annual ...so that would cover tickets for this year and the fallowing year......

Well coming from southeast michigan, gas could go up to, at least 3 dollars this summer......

I plan on buying BP gas cards ($100 each)......I wont let my tank get under 1/2...... so that would help a little.....

good luck to those who are going this summer......

The gas prices aren't going to stop my vacation to WDW! Sure gas maybe high, but at the same time, it's not very often my family is together since we're all so busy with work and just life in general. We always drive to WDW and I'm looking forward to it this summer!

Just booked Jet Blue yesterday for $89. each way. Amazing that it costs me $95. to fill my P/U truck, and $ 89. to fly NYC to MCO. Car service to airport (1 1/2 hr. ride), is $120 ea. way. I`ll fly any day.

I personaly emailed George Bush and stated that since I pay his salary, I could pretty much say what I wanted. Especialy since I voted for him in 2000. I let him know that I personaly don't think he has did one good thing for this country the whole time he has been in. Also, I said that he could at least do one decent thing for the American people and cut all federal, state, and local taxes on gasoline. That would save the people on average of about 72 cents a gallon. More if you live in South Carolina or North Carolina. If he did that, I would take back 1/4 of all the bad things I have said about him. But we all know Hell will freeze over before he does anything good for the people.

Alright i would hate to make this political but if all taxes on gasoline are cut then the gov'ts will have to find more revenue and other taxes will be raised so that is not a solution.
just my 2 cents :brick:

Did someone call me name? :p Anyway, there is different reason why airline prices go up. The airlines have different "codes" to reflect different prices. These codes are represented as a letter of the alphabet, ABCD..... Some are known as full-fare codes. F is for first class, J is for business class, and Y is for coach. But there are also discount and deep discount fare classes. Let’s use American Airlines as an example. Their deepest discount class is O.

Let's say that a MD-80 is flying to Orlando from Dallas and it has 150 coach seats. Now, let's say that American want to price a fare at $170 roundtrip. They reserve let’s say 10 seats for the O class at $170. The next fare class up is Q, since it's a higher fare class; they're going to charge more for that class. Let’s say that they want 10 seats in Q for $190. If all of the $170 O class seats are gone, the reservation system will bump up the $190 Q class seats and so on until the system can find available seats. If you're asking why are prices so high, it may be because the flights are near full, the airline is charging a higher price for that route, or you are booking close to the date of departure.

Also, if there are 2 O class seats left, and you want to book 4 people, the reservations system bumps EVERYONE up to the Q fare or higher whenever the system find 4 or more seats in a class.

Gas prices won't stop our trip but we will certainly feel the sting. We drive down and usually fill up three times round trip. At $80 for each fill up it is still cheaper than flying and we enjoy the road trip.

In February I stopped commuting an hour and a half to, and from, work, a commute I've had for almost a year! We've started putting aside the money that was going to pay for my gas to commute to pay for gas to drive to Disney and for some extra magic on our trip. The way I look at it, the trip down and back has nothing on what my commute used to be!

Thank you for that information! I always thought the "F" code stood for something else...
