Garden Grill Fell Through - Need Advice

I think it really depends. If we're including drinks, then perhaps you are right. I was thinking in terms of just the food and what each plate costs. Even so, I'll give the example of LTT and what I had:

This is from All Ears:

Angus Chuck Cheeseburger topped with bacon and cheddar or mushrooms and provolone served with fresh fruit or tavern fries $11.99

And I had a Coke...so still within the price range the OP mentioned. We never eat appetizers, and even less do we ever eat desserts.

It's all a matter of picking wisely. I don't like to splurge on food, which is why we rarely do sit-down meals to begin with. And when we do, I don't buy the most expensive meal.

I agree with you that there are entrees on the menus between $10 and $18.

However, consider your case. $11.99 plus at least $2 for a coke (probably more) is about $14, plus tax and tip makes about $17.50. That is at the very high end of the $10-18 range, and you had just about the minimal meal. That is hardly an argument for LTT being in the $10-18 range. Rather I'd say that it is an argument for LTT being $17.50 and up.

Using the All Ears menu that you used, LTT is in the $17-24 range, not the $10-18 range. And that is only if you don't have an appetizer or dessert, and only one soft drink (I excluded the vegetarian noodle bowl, which would make it $14 w soda, t&t). Add $6-9 if you add an appetizer or dessert.

(And, by the way, the WDWinfo menu I used for the earlier post is from 2006. A 2-course meal from the All Ears menu is $22-33, not the $19-28 I calculated earlier using the other, older menu. Add a coke and that's $25-35. Likewise for the other two restaurants.)

I'm not really a fan of math, so I'll just let you have this as a win for your argument

BTW, sodas get free refills at most (if not all) the sit-down restaurants. My mom goes through at least 3 Diet cokes in the restaurants.

I think a couple of dollars doesn't make a difference as long as you're flexible and as long as you have a good meal. I've had a good meal in all of the sit-downs I've been in, and it's been worth the "splurge." Will be going to San Angel again in September and spending more than the $10-18...but I'll enjoy doing so.

Let's just call it a draw, and go back to planning our next vacation!

I hope you love the San Angel Inn. People on these forums seem to either love it or hate it. We love it. I think the general advice I give people is "don't expect tex-mex - in fact don't try to anticipate anything". The food is not very spicy at all. Also, the service is "relaxed", and some people are disturbed by this, so when you go, don't be in a hurry.

And by the way, it's only about $2 more expensive than LTT on the average, so have no worries, and enjoy!

We've been to San Angel a few times now, and I love it. And, I'm not a fan of Mexican food  I've been to all the restaurants I listed at first, which is why I was trying to speak from experience

We have a couple of Mexican restaurants here and they pale in comparison IMO.

The safe assumption is that all Disney owned restaurants will take ADR's directly through Disney. All of the non-Disney owned restaurants can be hit or miss and their ADR policies seem to change frequntly. One of my favorite restaurants on property is Raglan rd and since its opening it has changed its ADR policies at least twice. Start with Disney for the ADR and if they can not do it call the restaurant directly.
don't you mean garden grove. Garden grill is at epcot

Certainly, all the restaurants listed that way take ADRs, but I'm finding through these forums, or by reasoning or experience that just because it doesn't say that, it doesn't mean that they DON'T take ADRs. Trail's end is a good example. Another is Garden Grill at the Swan. I thought that maybe that was because it was at a Westin hotel, but Fresh Mediteranean Market and Shula's at the Dolphin have that statement, so that can't be it.

Yes, thanks.

I would normally suggest Boma, but I don't think they do lunch. If you have never been to Wilderness Lodge, it is definitely worth the trip. My suggestion is Whispering Canyon.
