Guys, please try to keep on topic. The identity of people posting here is of course open to speculation, and in most cases you will never know who is who. I have no doubt that there are previously banned posters active, people with certain agendas, and who knows what else. Fact is though, constantly talking about it every thread becomes very annoying for anyone who is actually attempting to make any use of the real discussion in these threads. Please consider what you are posting. Thanks.

Wait, you mean Thomas would do something like that???? No, I can't imagine that. It's unbelievable and unconceivable. <-------insert sarcasm

BTW If and when Garden Grill comes back for lunch, expect the characters to make some magical experiences for the guests. The characters there really go out of their way to make their guests feel very special!

It's interesting how we can have such differing experiences. I used to love to have lunch at the Garden Grille before it went away, and I had to "report" the characters on several occassions for their lack of respect for the suit. We got to the point where we would flag them by us because it would upset us to see them that way.

I actually wrote them a few weeks ago begging for Garden Grille Lunch to come back, I am so excited to read this news...

Character meals are VERY popular at Disney, I don't know why they keep getting rid of them. I hope the bring this one back. If you're at EPCOT, and don't want a character meal - go eat in Wold Showcase...IMO

Side note: I wish they'd bring back Character dining at LTT at MK - I miss it :(

The outdoor Mexican restaurant at Epcot is somewhere around that price with a drink, and the food isn't too good. It included nothing but a couple of tiny tacos and bagged chips.

FWIW, I'm definitely not a Disney food critic. Did you bother reading my full reply which suggests Disney actually doesn't cost more than most restaurants nowadays? I spent $25 on lunch at Olive Garden two days ago, which is similar to what I would have paid for lunch at Chefs de France.

You jumped on that as if you had personal stake in people's opinions. Did I hurt your feelings or something?

Now, back to the Garden Grille (sorry, Drew!).

Have you eaten there recently? The mexican place at EPCOT has been outstanding since the refurb last year!!!

When are they going to bring a Star Wars character meal to HS??? I'm still waiting....on a side note, doesn't Disney grow a lot of their own food?? I wonder if they grow their own corn? :p

Maybe they should use Strategic Public Partners in Columbus, Ohio to survey guests, and other activities, to see if guests really prefer fresh tortilla chips. We might find out they like bagged chips in plain packaging without Disney One Park style logos. Ok, last one from me on this i promise!

Garden Grille does actually serve food grown righ there in the pavillion! At least that is what they used to boast.

the icecream social was fun there was an ice cream menu and drinks and it happened between lunch n dinner hours and was held at the garden Grill with the same characters that are still there now,I went in 2003 So they ended it somewhere between then and 2005 because my next trip was in 05 and was gone by then :(

It was still there in July 2006. I wanted to take my kids, but there was no availability the day we were in Epcot. Maybe it was a seasonal offering?

Don't know about character breakfasts, but my wife and I had breakfast there on our honeymoon in the early 90's... Dang, was that good (just like breakfast at Tony's Town Square back then). It is too bad what the DDP has done to food on property.

It was a great breakfast! I think it was called the Good Turn Restaurant then. We're not too keen on the dinner menu. As for Tony's breakfast, I really miss it! It was tradition for my family to start out with a nice breakfast there and then go on to play in the park. :(

Good God.

Disney's food is totally expensive. Don't get me started, lol.

I'm glad that GG is going to have lunch again. About time.

I totally believe that there are people who always take Disney's side. I've wondered if that is their job, for whatever reason. Wouldn't be able to point one out, though.

oh that could be,although when I was told it wasn't there I was told by my travel agent (who will no longer be using) and this wouldn't be the first time they mis informed me.
