Stannis knows because Stark told him via raven before Stark confronted the court.
Forgot about this. Isn't that what spurred Stannis to get into the fight for the throne in the first place after Robert's death?

Basically. Stark sent him a raven saying Robert is dead.. joffery is not a true heir.. you are.. come get your throne :) Stark tried to stop Joffery/Cersei on his own.. and got beheaded for his efforts :) In theory he was trying to prevent a war by stopping the Lanniesters before they got going.. but didn't help.. a war is what they got anyways :D

And tripple screwing me? I see my library has the books in ebook format too... oh boy. Need to borrow my kids library card I guess :D

Now that Season Three is over, what has been everyone's favorite moment?

For me, it's an easy winner. Lots of action, lots of great scenes of dialogue.
But my winner for moment of the season came in Episode Four.
When Dany took control of the Unsullied, and began to speak in Old Valarian. Setting the Unsullied and her dragon loose against the slavemasters.

I borrowed all the audio books from my local library when book 5 came out.

May I just comment further...hell hath no fury like a woman scorned! (those who have seen the show know EXACTLY what I'm referring to!)

And those who have read the books DEFINITELY know about such things...

I really enjoy the contrast between the Stark girls.
Sansa is so naive, and essentially helpless by herself, and Arya is becoming an ultimate badass.
Anya's story is awesome. Wonder when we'll get to her big adventures, next season or later?
