A bow like that was used before to kill a dragon during the original conquest of Westeros. Dorne used it and shot the arrow into a dragons eye and Aegon's favorite sister/wife who was riding the dragon was never seen again.

As for the wall. I'm not sure it matters if they can cross it or not because of Bran. If you watch the opening credits you can see that the sea near East Watch is starting to freeze over. The Whites are coming from that direction. They might just try to go around the wall on the frozen sea.

This article better articulates my feelings about what happened in Sunday's episode. I get that the writers are really doing what they want now (and I'm sure that some of it does follow what GRRM has in plan), but some of the characters are way smarter than what the show makes them out to be.

I read that article also and feel exactly the same way. I like the show, but the poor writing is pretty clear now that there is no source material for them and they're following an outline. The leaps in logic are absurd.

Okay, my dead pool for 'The Queen's Justice':
  • Tyene (either a quick and easy kill... or poison- callback to her carrying the antidote to her poisoned daggers)
  • Ellaria (but only after Tyene dies)
Yara will survive. Idk if she'll be around for the rest of the season, but she will make it through Episode 3.

I also think Bran will finally make it home (maybe at the end?) and Sansa will be reunited with another sibling she had no real time with during Season 1 (c'mon Arya, get moving). I am also very much looking forward to Sansa's reaction when she sees Bran's powers, because out of all of the Starks, she's had the most 'grounded' story, with no magic or wights in her plot at all (minus the wildfire, but she didn't really see any of that). Also, having Bran around is going to prove really useful to gather some dirt on Littlefinger... who will probably try to kill Bran since he's got more of a claim to Winterfell than Sansa due to male inheritance.

Total dead pool for the remainder of Season 7 (.... of which there are only 5 episodes left :( ):
  • Tyene Sand (in front of her mother)
  • Ellaria Sand
  • Olenna Tyrell (just to wipe out the rest of the Tyrells)
  • Septa Unella (if the Mountain hasn't killed her yet)
  • Thoros of Myr
  • Beric Dondarrion
  • Grey Worm
  • Randyll or Dickon Tarly
  • a dragon not named Drogon (so either Visarion or Rhaegal)
  • Edd :(
  • Littlefinger- killed by Arya or Sansa in the season finale
Two Sand Snakes are dead (yayyyy), but I don't see any major characters outside of Littlefinger dying this season. I know Davos and Melisandre are common picks on some betting sites, but they seem too big to die... yet. The last season is where we'll see Cersei, Mel, The Mountain, Jorah, Bronn, Tormund, Jaime, Arya, and Theon go out.

I'm so annoyed by Sandsnakes in the show. I know the actresses were too they read the books and were so excited to do the whole Doarnish plot line and they cut everything.

Same thing happened with Barristan Selmy's actor. He read the books, was excited about the plot about to happen in TWOW, and boom, killed off in Season 5.

I have to admit, I was kind of disappointed in the Jon/Dany meeting but I don't know why. It was okay, their second scene was better. Her look as he was walking away was the highlight to me and it looks like they'll be traversing some caves together at Dragonstone next week. I guess I expected more from Jon. He could have easily (and honestly) said that if she wages war on the north the majority of her army would die in the cold before they ever reached Winterfell... They're desert warriors who fight on sand, not in the snow and not in a blizzard. Realistically, she'd never have a chance outside of her dragons. But yeah, it's getting to the point where she really needs him because she keeps losing.

Cersi has had a solid season so far. Very impressed. A lot of the characters meandering is annoying seeing the season is almost over. Bran is going to be interesting,cespecially seeing Arya approaching.

All in all, this meeting should have come last week, trimmed the fat, give us an extra five minutes and end the episode with Jon being escorted out of the throne room as a quasi prisoner if need be.

Hoping we pick up the pace next week.

Sure, it may be a little sad that a mother is being forced to watch her daughter die, but I wasn't the only one cheering, right? Outside of Season 4, the show really butchered the Dornish plot. Kind of hoping that we get a confirmation of Ellaria and Tyene's deaths next week.

Also- I was not expecting Jorah to heal that quickly??? I suppose it's been at least 2 weeks since Sam started the treatment, but it still seems fast.

Lastly- Bran, out of all of the things you could have told Sansa to show her you have the greensight.... Maybe not the best choice, bro. Could have been any moment (that I'm assuming you witnessed, but it seems like you've caught up with the plot of the show). The Hound offering to rescue her from the Red Keep, perhaps? Or maybe flat out bringing up that Petyr killed their aunt after she tried to kill Sansa? Or, idk, the day Joffrey died? Or even the death of Ramsey? The night where she started to suffer some major spousal abuse (to put it lightly) was not the memory I would have chosen.

(I'll type up my Dany/Jon meeting thoughts later)

Okay, some quick thoughts about what happened on Dragonstone:
  • I swear the writers don't know what to do with Dany sometimes. She acted a little witchy (since I can't use the other word, it rhymes with that). I'm sorry, but your family's conquest was 300 years ago. While that is quite a bit of time to get used to their reign, there happened to be a few 'mad kings', and your father (... also Jon's grandfather) happened to be one of the worst. Sure, you have dragons that you're threatening to use if you don't get your way, but that is not the way to rule and get innocent people to like you. Fear you, yes; like you, no.
  • Ugh I love Davos so much. He is one of the purest characters on this show (Sam's the other one), and he has become Jon's most loyal adviser. The way he stood up for Jon in front of the mothereffing Dragon Queen to correct her and tell her that Jon is the King in the North... :cry:
  • Jon, name Davos Hand of the King. There's no one better for the job in the North.
  • Nice to have Tyrion has a mediator between these Jon and Dany. I'm still all about having a kingdom in the North though.
  • Daenerys... You have like no army now. Time to unleash a dragon or two on the Lannister army (hanging out in the Reach).

Seems like the fiery battle in kings landing maybe next...

Euron's superiority is getting a bit overplayed I think. He can't be cutting off the fleet to dorm... then going back to kings landing... then catching up to the unsullied at the rock. Even if he just sent his fleet separate...seems like a stretch. The whole point of sailing verse marching to the rock would be to be for surprise... yet somehow they have none.... twice?

Honestly I would love it if a character would just mention how much gorram time has past.

"Well, Jorah, it's been a rough 3 weeks, but it looks like you're a-okay now."

"Queen Cersei, a fortnight ago I captured your enemies, and killed many more."

"Maester Wolkan, I understand that I have only been Lady of Winterfell for 5 weeks, but I know my home better than anyone."

Seriously, writers, fit this stuff in.
