That's lousy, jgn. Sorry it has worked out that way. I would probably not give up on getting something "extra" from DCL. I might call back and keep asking for supervisors until you can tell your whole story to somebody who can give you an onboard credit, or spa credits, or something. I honestly don't know if it would do any good or not. But I think I'd probably call back and try again.
Honestly don't think it will do any good. Our travel agent has also spoken to them several times as well, and has been told the same thing. The last person my husband talked to was rude and basically said they were providing an 8 day cruise on the original dates, so there is no need for them to do anything. He, in fact, left the impression that they could technically just sail around for 8 days and they would be living up to their legal obligations. I will definitely be writing a letter to Disney's head office, but really, now, don't expect anything. I think the reality is that Disney knows they will fill any cancellations so they don't really care.
