Future of the Hollywood Tower of Terror

If not perhaps make it dr strange sanctorum and give it multiple missions for re rideabilty. I could also see them pulling the iron man overlay from paris rnrc onto dhs rnrc and making that area a marvel land....just sayin.
If Dr. Strange goes in ToT, I wonder is there any marvel property they could use that is very heavily music based that would fit a a dark roller coaster well. Maybe it could go through space or something like that. Probably not.

Only one I can think of is Guardians and they already stuck that at Epcot. I doubt Dr. strange or any other Marvel property will be shoehorned into ToT

Why exactly does Tower Of Terror need to change at all? it is beautifully done and an imagineering master work. None of the versions that came after were as good as this original.
It dosen't but I think they want to start getting rid of IP not owned by them. Why pay Paramount a licensing fee for Twilight Zone when we don't have too. Personally I want the Twilight Zone theme to stay.

Many of the Imagineers who worked on it still have ToT as their most favorite ride. They also called the other versions "Tower of Terror Lite" internally when working on the others.
The show effects of ToT are in desperate need of help though, every few months it seems that something else show wise breaks and doesn't get fixed.

Well if we start thread asking about the future of something that is fine, it just might put the idea out there that there is something wrong with it... Let's just leave this under the wire for now...It's a great attraction that just needs some show maintenance...

It'd be best to just turn it into an original IP then. I'll miss the pre-show & Twilight Zone music but they could very easily keep everything else intact.

remove twilight zone and just redo some of the safety spiels and audio and you still have the same ride and story. You dont need twilight zone, if that happens.

I know you don't. I just like the Twilight Zone. But yes it'll fundamentally be the same ride without that IP. They'll have to change the dark ride portion though since it's literally you going through the opening of season 4 of Twilight Zone.

I too like the original black and white twilight zones :). My point was unlike lets say mickeys run away railroad, muppets, or star wars, removing the IP from this wouldnt change the ride all that much.

Except it would. You are also forgetting about the ride audio. Besides the narration, the BGM would need changed, the drop sequence audio would need redone, the hallway scene window needs changed, etc.

Again, all of these posts out of context(such as if Disney is reading this thread) are sounding like you are advocating for it to be rethemed.

Disney's policy is to IP-everything for that sweet synergistic goodness.

So, if that's going to happen, then it's resignation to fate to suggest which IP would work best since it's likely it will be IP-ified eventually.

Of course, that would be Doctor Strange. Next to the rethemed Incredicoaster and the Awesome Dance Mix show in the Hollywood theater and a new Big Hero Six ride in place of Fairfax to create a superhero themed mini-land. ;)

As long as they keep the Hollywood theming I'm cool with it. DCA ruined their atmosphere and aesthetics with Mission Breakout.

if you remove Twilight Zone IP from the attraction, what is the mechanism to deliver the backstory of the ride? Remove Twilight Zone, and there is no reason for a television set at all...So how would you show what happened one dark and stormy night during the golden age of Hollywood? Seems like to continue with what they started would be the best possible decision and save tons of money...there is absolutely no reason to change any of this. It works perfectly.
