Anyone have any ideas for Downtown Disney Expansion/Re-imagining?
If I could rebuild all of Downtown Disney I would split it up into sections inspired by real cities. For example...

-Las Vegas Nightclub area
-New York Times Square shopping district
-Paris Dining area
-Tokyo entertainment area

Definitely a Broadway Style Theater! We talked about that in another thread (I wanna say the Les Mis Thread!) It would be a great spot to test out New Disney Stage Shows. And it could also have house players for when there are no tours in the area!

It would fit well in a times square area ;)

Broadway style theater, a major re-imagining of DisneyQuest, fixing the night clubs aka Pleasure Island
It would be re-named to Game Central Station (Like In Wreck-It Ralph), and it would be more of a boutique park. There will still be 5 floors and the different floors would be Wreck-It Ralph, Sports Gaming, Tron, and the games of the future (preview center).

Floor 1 (Game Central Station) - Elevators to all the different stations

Floor 2 (Wreck-It Ralph) - This would be a split between Fix It Felix Jr. and Sugar Rush . Scattered around there would be the actual game of Fix It Felix Jr, Hero's Duty, and Sugar Rush outside of the immersive atmosphere. In the Felix area of it, there would be a small bumper car ride and a extremely small dark ride of the film. In the Sugar Rush area, there's a thing where you design your own sweet car (pun) like in the movie and candy will be sold. There would also be a Sugar Rush simulator race

Floor 3 (Tron) - There would be two areas: Inside Tron and Flynn's Arcade. In the Tron area, Cyber Space Mountain would be re-themed to Tron and you get on a light-bike. ElecTRONica from DCA would also be here, as well as regular arcade game in the Flynn's Arcade portion of it.

Floor 4 (EA Sports) - This would be sponsored by EA Sports and it would just be about Sports Simulation Games. I'm kinda tired and out of ideas but it would basically utilize Kinect technology, and for the rest of it I will edit later.

Floor 5 (Future) - Hopefully Disney can get a partnership with different gaming companies, and they can have their newest games and even un-released games up here so that you can test out.

Thoughts? Hit me with your criticism

Sorry Turtle, but I'm not a fan. Here are my main points....

-Why change the name to Game Central Station when only two floors are wreck it ralph? The movie only focussed on arcade games no home console so it defeats the purpose of two of your floors.

-EA was voted the worst company in America, I don't think Disney want to partner with them.

I like what Disney Quest tries to achieve now, it just doesn't do it right. I think if the theme of games and tech working hand in hand should stay, the problem is the building currently has no layout allowing new attractions to be designed easily. I think each floor should have a specific theme (as they do now but more dedicated) such as Adventure, Creativity, Future and Racing.

I will start a new topic! If you guys think it is too early, I will delete the post:
How would you integrate toy story into the parks in your own style? Mine would start with removing buzz lightyear space ranger spin and TSMM. In a huge expansion of Pixar place, there would be a toy story sub-land. In it, it would have:
Toy story: the musical- the show from the cruise line
Woody's roundup- a d/e ticket dark ride through the world of woody's roundup
Take flight with Buzz Lightyear: a super e ticket flying roller coaster that takes place in sector Z. There would be plenty of special effects, and would be very thrilling, but not too thrilling so some younger kids can also ride!

Suggestions, Critiques, Comments? :)

Keep Toy Story Mania as a part of the Toy Story sub-land, and change Woody's RoundUp a dark ride thru the first film or a new adventure!

now that i look back at this, i agree with your post haha. Game Central Station title wouldn't work and the space is an issue as well + EA is doing bad lately.

Rather than just making the place one big arcade place with VR games and what-not, why not make it something truly unique? Sure, games can still be the main focus, but why not instead have a complete real-life game experience? Rather than guests playing games, they would actually play the role of protagonist in some adventure? Why I am saying this is because I am inspired by a unique thing called Magiquest (look it up) that has a place here in New Jersey. I can really see such a thing attracting guests, and it would make a reason for them to come back, instead of just do everything for the day and that's it.

Like that! Though a bit more Disney magic and more of a storyline, but I can see that such a thing would be popular. The kids would feel as if they are in their favorite movies, the teens would enjoy a challenge, and the adults and parents would enjoy it as well.

Story wise I could see it like Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, as in with the villains working together to overthrow the heroes and take over the Disney Worlds. The guests would be more of a last-resort thing, being called upon to help stop the villains and such. I...don't got much, but then again this is a brainstorming thread. :)

I would like to see a Toy Story boutique park built next to the All-Star Movies resort. Nothing major just a couple of small areas and 5-6 rides, a show and a couple restaurants. Just somewhere for guests on property to spend some of their time.

What would you put in that park?

The areas could be something along the lines of a Star Command HQ, a Woody's Round-up street and a Toy Story Carnival area. Attractions could be...

Star Command HQ:
-Astro Blasters (Moved from Tomorrowland)
-Zurg Attack! (An indoor inverted coaster)
-Booster's Battle Bots (Flying Saucer type ride but lighter vehicles than Luigis)

Woody's Round Up:
-Jessie's Hoedown (A singing/dancing show)
-The Prospector's Gold Mine (A walkthrough/roller coaster area)
-Bullseye's Troff (A buffet style restaurant)

Toy Story Carnival:
-Midway Mania (Moved from DHS)
-M&G Tent
-Sideshow Snacks (QS stands)
-A C-Ticket carnival themed ride

A backyard area and an Andy's room area is just impossible in my mind. It could never be done right so I would prefer it never done at all. Disney just couldn't dish out $500 million to build a 60 story high house that would be covered with flashing lights thanks to florida law!
