So I have been wondering, now that Via Napoli and the Hacienda are finished or in the final stages of being so. Do any of you have any info on what if anything at all may be planned for Canada (WS). There is so much missing :( the Beaver Tails and the two other stores at the top of the stairs have been closed. I just have to wonder and dream about all the possibilities :veryconfu

I would love to hear any info or whatever you would like to see in the future for Canada! :sohappy:

It almost looks to me that the food industry in the world showcase is expanding. I would bet money some kind of food place would go in those buildings.

The Blue Sky Disney blog had reported that there was a (blue sky) concept for a rapids ride there, partly to block out the Soarin' showbuilding. Given the space (or lack thereof) back there, it doesn't look feasiblle to me. Given the fact the post was in 2007 or early 2008 (pre credit crisis), I would imagine this is quite a ways away, at most.

I never heard there was a ride planned, that would have been great. The Soarin building dwarfs the tower in Canada and makes it look funny.

I just realized I forgot to mention what I would like to see placed into Canada so here it is:

1) I would like to see a CS restaurant that would serve L,& D but also a breakfast option in the mornings for guests entering through International Gateway or anyone just looking for a bite to eat int the early morning. (anything else besides the coffee carts and the Princess breakfast Buffet in Norway)

2) Bring back the Beaver Tails!

3) Canada has a bunch of great fashion designers, so I would love to have a shop that sold wares, perfumes and other products from a few of them.

4) I love beer why not replace the kiosk and build a small watering hole where us adults may hide out and have a drink. Yes I am aware of the Rose & Crown and Tequila bar but how about just one more.

5) How about a little gallery space including artist and a little history before yo u head into O'Canada.

Ok thats all I would like! (For Now) :drevil:

I've always wanted TDO to put in some sort of bar/CS place at the top of the Canadian pavilion. Perhaps even an extention of Le Cellier. You could reduce the crowds out in front of the restaurant, and would be a great location to watch Illuminations.

I do remember eharing a rumor about a river rapids ride in Canada a few months ago, but nothing since.

I'd hope they add something to Canada before any other WS country just because Canada has so much to offer. Bet WDI would make a killer ride!

I hope they continue to expand food and drink areas in Epoct. Due to work I can never go to Food & Wine in November.

I have gone to restaurants where I have seen: salad of the month, appetizer of the month, burger of the month, throwback cocktail of the week, etc. If they do even more food and drink offerings for the countries even on a limited time only basis, I think people would be interested.

There is something to Drinking and Eating around the World at Epcot. They can really tap into this.

I love the Canada bar idea. The only real pub experience is at Rose and Crown.

My dream for Canada would be a pub or drinks at a hunting lodege type of atmosphere. Cozy, dark wood and interiors, woodsy hardware, light fixtures, and dark-jewel tones for seats, stools, etc.

A place to enjoy their beers and order a cup of beer cheese soup and some appetizers, sandwiches, etc.

And if you sit at the bar and face forward, there is no mirror, just what appears to be a faux window that makes it appear that you are looking out into the Canadian wilderness...animals, trees, etc. Which could be done with a projection screen or even an elaborate diorama-effect. I will leave that part to the Imagineers. LOL!

Even the room could have "windows" with outdoor scenes as you enjoy a drink or a bite to eat.

I'll keep dreaming...

The pavilion has a lot of potential, so it would be nice to see some sort of expansion happen. However, I just don't see it happening.

i too envisioned this in the Canada pavillion. i think it would be a huge draw because Canada is such let down when it comes to their beer cart. While i don't think we will ever see a river rapids ride through Canada, it is the one exception where i actually welcome more food and beverages to the world showcase and would pay to go to it.

Put a seafood place somwhere in there- I live in Maine and I can tell you that Canada (and Maine of course) has some of the best seafood on the planet!

Salmon, lobster, haddock, cod, and soooo much more... and don't forget the putin (prob. spelled that wrong)- basically it's french fries w/ a special gravy. sounds bad, tastes good.:slurp:
