Further proof that the Dueling Dragons coasters at IOA were supposed to be at Disney

Why does everyone have so much trouble accepting that, perhaps, the brilliant notion of dragons and castles being used for an attraction might have been developed by both WDI and Universal Creative independently? Honestly, it's not that unique of a premise.

Besides, again, Dragon Tower and Dueling Dragons are precisely nothing alike and are not in name, in theme, in design or in birth, the same.

Dueling Dragons was originally intended and designed (by someone other than disney) to go into Disneys Animal Kingdom in a land called "Beastly Kingdom" (the original logos had a dragon on them..remember? There were even props made of burned suits of armor, and a LOT of original AK themeing pointed towards the addition of the dragons.)..but one thing disney looks down on are coasters that can be seen from far away in other parts of the park. They would have rather had it enclosed. Since they couldnt do that with the Design sub-contracted out they wanted, they trashed the project. There was no contractual agreement that said the same design couldnt be used somewhere else since they arent the ones who made it.

Finish the story yourself ;)

Remember, Rock N' Rollercoaster is a track design used other places as well. So don't go saying "Disney wouldn't allow some other park to use this"..cuz they have little/no control over that.

It was first designed for and used at Disney Studios, however. It's absolutely plausible that Disney would be able to, contractually, prohibit the use of products it contracts another company to design or build by its competitors. It's equally plausible that Disney could save money by allowing its contractors to use the work they do for Disney in other parks.

Rock N' Roller Coaster and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad were each designed by Vekoma, yet there are no clones of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad outside Disney parks. That's not simply because nobody wants one.

With the opening a SheiKra at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, we will not see another Dive Machine opening in the United States for several years. Once more, it's not because nobody wants one.

Dueling Dragons was designed by Bolliger and Mabillard of Switzerland for Islands of Adventure. I have to date seen nothing whatsoever that indicates the Dragon Tower attraction was to feature dueling coasters, including concept art. Furthermore, the Dueling Dragons coasters are each approximately 120' tall -- hardly something you'd see from all around the park. Again, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is 197' tall at places and you cannot see that from most places within Magic Kingdom -- a park that's much smaller than Animal Kingdom.
