"What did you just say?!"

Hi there! :)

I was curious... What are the funniest/strangest/oddest/most unique/ect. quotes you've ever said/heard while at Walt Disney World?

I don't really have any examples for myself, but hopefully I'll have some after my trip. :o

Actually, I was just thinking of something this morning...

On our last trip my husband and I were in the hotel gift shop. It was on our arrivial day so we were just taking our time, poking around. After a few minutes, a mom came in with her daughter- I'm guessing she was about 4. They also began poking around.

At one point, the little girl picked up a toy- you know those little dolls that come in the heart shaped plastic packages, its usually a princess with all different plastic outfits you can change? Well for some reason, the Ariel one came with different hairstyles so the whole head came off the doll. The little girl ran up to her mom and said, 'Mom, can I please have this? Look, SHE HAS TWO HEADS!" Then the little girl cracked up laughing! The mom started laughing too and was like, "Well, if she has two heads I guess we have to get it!"

Every time I saw that toy the rest of the week I could hear the little girl yelling, "SHE HAS TWO HEADS!" It was great

My girlfriend and I were there in May in DHS i think when we heard a mother with a British accent say something we thought sounded funny at the moment. Might not sound too funny, but along with her thick accent and strange use of words, we laughed and quote it from time to time still. she said to her kid (thick British accent) "We'll get there alot faster if you stop walking on the edges!" The kid was walking on the sidewalk so edges sounded funny to us.

Gotta love the Brits...we were at DD at Ghirardelli's a couple of trips back and a 10-12 y/o girl was there with her parents. I don't know what the girl said first but then it was,

mom: "Stop being so cheeky."
daughter: "I was not being cheeky."
mom: "Yes you were. You were being VERY VERY cheeky."

I guess maybe it's the accent or the way she said it...but i still smile when I think of that one. :ROFLOL:

Well, two come to mind...

When we were at Soarin', there was a very butch-looking woman waiting at the FP entrance. She apparently had to wait a minute for her ticket to be vaild. Once the CM let her in, she walked through and said loudly in reference to the CM, "Smallest on the planet." Then another CM ran up behind her and she got reprimanded. I lol'd. She later walked right across the big lawn by Club Cool. What a classy lady she was.

A lot of this one is probably in the cheery delivery, but during the Teddy Roosevelt scene in AA, a little kid behind me started cheering "YAAAAAAAAY!" for no reason. It was SO cute. This continued occasionally throughout the show. People laughed at him and paid him more attention than they did the show.

HA! That's the best :ROFLOL:Poor parents! They should learn to be more carefull!

When we were in Turtle Talk, Crush came out with a bathing suit top and asked if anyone knew what it was. A little boy stood up and said, "a bra!!" It was great.

I agree that to us Americans, things sound way funnier with a British accent. Just the other day at the World I saw a naughty little boy being spanked on the bottom. He yelled in the thickest cockney accent you've ever heard, "Mummy, please don't swap me!" I don't know why but it just sounded hilarious.

Girl to Crush: "I have a dog and he could eat you up!"
Crush: "Can your dog hold its breath and swim under water for extended periods of time?"
Girl: "Yes!"

Many many years ago I was wandering through World Showcase and spied a performer dressed in the traditional Commedia Harlequino costume hawking a show near the Italy pavillion.

He said "Come see authentic Italian Comedy!"

I replied..."Comedy...or Commedia?"

At which point he stopped what he was doing and got down close to me and deadpanned
"yeah right...Commedia... at DISNEY World?"
and just shook his head in wonderment that I had even asked.

Ok...this is funny if you understand that real Italian Commedia was all about the lewdest crudest and bawdiest jokes and situations you can think of.

During my 2008 trip I headed towards Epcot's Japan pavillion for anime goods hoping for anything related to the game Kingdom Hearts (The Disney/SquareEnix game)...So I as I looked around I thought they may have had them somewhere where most of the anime merchandise was. But, no luck...So I went to the counter to ask...

"Excuse me do you happen to have anything related to the game Kingdom Hearts?"
The girl nodded..At this point I assume "okay we got something!"
She then points to a statue of Cloud Strife of Final Fantasy 7 and says...."Cloud!"
Which then I asked.."Oh No I'm looking for characters from Kingdom Hearts."
She then went and said..."Ohhh Kingdom Hearts......She then pointed to the same statue and said.."Cloud!"

At that point, I gave up and thanked her and went upon my merry way to buy some Strawberry Pocky....Now granted Cloud Strife is in Kingdom Hearts...But I was looking more for Sora, Kairi and Riku.....Not a just Cloud Strife statue from Final Fantasy The Advent Children...But, Here's hoping they'll have something there this time..

Walking throough Fantasyland near the bathrooms, my husband, son and I heard a father say, "Do you have to make potty?" Years later, whenever we leave home on a trip or are on the road passing by a rest area one of us will undoubtedly pop up with, "Anyone got to make potty?" before heading out. :)

Oh man, that has been a problem of mine since the release of KH. I think they had a statue of Riku ONCE, and even then, it was just Riku and he's kind of a tool. My brother and I have scoured the entire World several times in search of KH-related stuff (A keyblade would be SO b.a.), but besides the games being sold in stores, the only recognition we have been able to find is the one window in the back of One Man's Dream where they would play the menu trailer.

Carry on.

Mine would be the time when we were on ToT and the absolutely terrified kid in back of us started screaming for his life, "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIIIIIIIIEEEEE!" when we started to drop.
Funny and sad...his mom made him go on!
