I'm going to Disney with my 50 y/o aunt in July. She likes to take rest breaks often. Where are some fun and interesting places to rest other that just random park benches?

We like to visit the resorts for a nice break. If you are at MK, just hop on the Monorail and visit the Contemporary, Poly or the GF. All three have very nice lobby areas.

I agree with resort hopping. From MK hop over to the monorail resorts or hop the boat to the WL, it's worth the boat ride. If you don't want to leave MK then hop on the WDW railroad and ride around the park for awhile, they aren't about to kick you off. I also like to hop on the TTA for a few spins around Tomorrowland but it probably won't be operational when you're there. At Epcot, take a break and check out the resorts over there. Yacht and Beach Club and Boardwalk are a short walk out the International Gateway. And it's actually a pleasant walk along the walkway between the three resorts and DHS.

Go back to the room, take a shower, close the curtains, and take a nap. My naps were only 15-40 minutes (rather than the 1-3 hours we wanted). Which may seem like such a waste considering the time we spent on shuttles to/from the resort as well as time showering. But honestly it made us feel like 20 times better just getting out of the sun, getting cleaned up halfway through the day, off our feet completely on a comfy bed and then back out again for the second half of the day.

My mom likes to take breaks throughout the day as well.

Some of our favorite breaks are a train ride around MK, a monorail ride around the resorts and sometimes a stop at one of the monorail resorts for a cold drink. We like the Liberty boat ride as well, most of us can stand at the railing while mom takes a seat just keep in mind seating is limited.

We also enjoy the boat ride from Epcot to DHS and a stop at Beaches and Cream for a treat. We usually save Spaceship Earth for a time that we're starting to get hot and tired, provided the line isn't too long. Also the Seas is a nice place to stop and cool off.

Another break is train ride to Conservation Station in AK.

I find leisurely snacks work well for our family when we have all 3 generations traveling together. That way the kids get to savour a nice treat and the "old folks" get to sit for a while. Just pick a spot that you have a nice view, take your time and enjoy!

Get a refreshing beverage, pick any random bench in a shady spot and people watch! That's always a great break for me. I pay particular attention to footwear as I can't believe some of the shoes people wear to walk around WDW.

Epcot or Hollywood Studios I say go to Beaches and Cream for a Kitchen Sink or maybe ESPN Zone for some games on tv. Side note before you all say ESPN is crazy go there during a day when no major games are on tv and its quite in there.

We like to get a cold drink and find a bench in the shade and plop down for a short rest and People watch. Gotta admit, ya see some mighty interesting sights, sometimes. :) After a 15 minute sit, we're up and ready to go.

I agree with going back to your hotel room and taking a short nap. We always get up early and are usually done with our first park of the day by 1pm. If we take a short nap, we will be ready for a long night at another park.

At MK, it's nice to take a break on the Railroad around the park.

But when in need of a break, there is always a bench just around the corner! Great for people watching too.
