(Related story: My dad's getting back surgery today. TODAY! :eek: )

As with what seems like everyone here (and I don't blame them), really wish I could be there right alongside you folks. However... let's just say a part of me WILL be. :D

I also broke one of our drinking glasses this morning. It hasn't been a good day..:cry:

Well, they've already cancelled it TWICE now, starting six months ago... apparently the hospital is just too understaffed. He needed it then, he needs it even more now. He can barely sit a full half-hour now; God knows how he'll drive down to Florida!! :eek:

(If we go through the Smoky Mountains again, that part isn't a highway, so... I might be commissioned to drive. :lookaroun)

Good thoughts sent your dad's way! How long do they say his recovery will take?

For some reason, despite his general ailing health (he has sarcoidosis, which affects pretty much everything in the body), he bounces back from surgeries quite rapidly. A few months ago he had a knee surgery, and was walking stairs within 24 hours. The docs projected at least a week!
