You are far braver than me to venture into one of those places.
Oh, this was our own on the lawn of the church. we had water ballons, 2 inflatable slides, a wading pool, squirt ducks, and ice cream sundaes! If it wasn't for one of my little darlings, it would have been quite fun actually.

Gotcha. My family actually ventured to Dollywood last weekend.

By the way, hi everyone - I survived WaterPark day!!!!! :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:
Hey Betty!
See, I was kinda thinking of surprising Abby with a trip in January during her MLK break - she gets a Fri-Mon deal. I've seen trips as low as $188 round trip to Orlando. So it would be a mother-daughter trip for us. :D
Awww, Jenny that would be so nice. She would love that!
Yay!!! It's over! :D

So, Betty, how quickly should I book our flight? I want to completely surprise Abby where we're going till we get to the airport.
My friends did that when they took their kids for the 1st time. The morning they were flying out, they went into their room in Mickey ears and said "Wake up, we're going to Disney World today!". It was so hard for them to keep the secret for so many months, but the kids were so excited I think it was worth it. :)

I just checked, and SW is only booking 'til Jan 11 right now, so you'll have a few weeks before you have to decide for sure.

Cool - I thought I would check the end of August or early September. I want to call Kingdom Konsultants for a room-only ressie at either Pop or POR. I can buy tickets after I get there.

Ooh, this is making me excited! :sohappy: :sohappy:

According to their website, they'll be changing dates on the 23rd of August for flights up until March 7.

 Hiya!

How was Dollywood?? I've never been.

We've talked about doing that, but we've never been. How is it?

It is actually a really decent park. They have three rollercoasters along with several water rides and a great kids' section. Kids' Fest is going on right now. They are using a ride simulator that used to be in Universal Studios. The Fall is a beautiful time to go there. It really is just nestled in the mountains, so the scenery is beautiful around that time of year. Christmas is also a really nice time to go, but during the colder months the water rides are closed.
