It's Harry. What could Harry POSSIBLY do after Hogwarts? Nothing. He could be an Auror, but what a cop out. Killing off Harry is the right way to go and the right way to be a truly gutsy author.

I've never been a fan of Rowling's from what I've seen of her in interviews.
She comes across a bit arrogantly. Perhaps with good reason, but it makes her unlikable to me. That arrogance may lead her to kill off Harry. . .not guts!
