We ate there once; DW wanted to try it. I had the Cioppino, which is an Italian seafood stew. It was very good; prices are the same as the other signature dining locations. We live in New England so seafood isn’t that big a thing as we have a lot of good local places but I would eat there again.

I just ate there 2 weeks ago and it was great. I had a Shrimp Po-Boy for lunch and it was really good. The crab dip they start you with is excellent as well (they leave you the recipe too) The cheesecake was one of the best I ever had.

Highly reccomend it. I Love the King Crab Claws and actually had fresh Dayboat King crab there 2 or 3 yrs ago. Never thought I would find fresh King Crab outside of Alaska/ Northwest. My wife loves the chilled claws, I can't remember which type of crab though.

Boys. Sheesh. Lol! For the record, I do NOT like crab or anything remotely fishy.

That said, the boys enjoy king & dungeness immensely. I know if they spot snow crab they get all nutty. They love the stuff. The oldest son decided 4 years ago that lobster was da shiz-nit. Now if they could just find a true crawfish boil at WDW they'd be in heaven. Lol!

The cost could add up for my family of 4 but it's worth it for truly great seafood/crab. I'm betting the atmosphere is nice...unlike going to Joe's Crab Shack where the stench when I cross the threshold instantly makes me sick. Lol!

not sure of anywhere that has crawfish boils in WDW. My girls (they are almost 3) love crab, I can't peel it fast enough for them. I bought a pound the other day and it was nowhere close to enough for hubby, myself and the girls. (My son doesn't like much stuff) The girls ate about 1/2lb between them.

I was there 5 days after Thanksgiving last year and had a horrible experience. Service was ok at best and the food was not good at all (Cold and not fresh). This was a stop that my wife and i made for 5 years in a row, now it is completely off our visit list. Who know maybe it was the time of year.

Nobody does the crawfish boils @ WDW. It'd be a true cultural experience if they did. We lived in Southeast Louisiana for 10 years. Some stuff rubbed off. LOL!

Stone Crab ?

Stone Crab claws only come cold (if you find them hot, either something is very very wrong, or you are at the docks where the boats come in)

The entire crab is not harvested (their bodies are small). They are caught, the claw(s) removed, and the crab returned to the water (where it lives, and grows new claws)

Since the claws are now removed, they must be cooked or they will spoil in a matter of hours. They are then cooked and chilled, in which form they are shipped and served.

If you get them hot, they are either reheated (overcooked to the consistency of rubber) or you are eating them off the boat just after they have been cooked the first time.

I didn't have a poor experience like this, but I will say Fulton's is off our list as well. We tried it twice, once in 1998 and then again in 2007. The first time we were on our honeymoon, and were disappointed by the quality of the food for the prices we were paying. But we decided to give it another shot later because we felt that maybe the whole experience of our honeymoon had somehow blighted the restaurant and our meal. Yeah, no, it wasn't our honeymoon.....:dazzle:
