Pre-Trip Full Steam Ahead ~ First Stop: Yacht Club

Here we go again y’all!
Staying at the Yacht Club August 17-24th 2024. We were lucky to snag the Disney dining plan special. Staying at the Yacht Club is new for us. It’s our first time as a family that we’re staying there. When I was little my family stayed there…. It was our favorite resort to stay at. As a grownup with my own family, we’ve stayed at the Swan and Dolphin numerous times and we’ve stayed off property over the last couple years. So, we haven’t truly stayed at a Disney resort in many many years. Truth be told, I am super excited to stay there! Also, we've never done the dining plan either, so we have many new things to look forward to.

This trip will be me, dh, dd10 & dd7.

Saturday, August 24th- Checkout Day
We will pack up and check out. We’re going to go swimming at the pool as our flight out is at 7:30.
And back to NJ we go!

I'm here and loving your PTR! Your throwback pics are so nostalgic, and I agree with others that it just feels so strange without the Boardwalk in the pictures. My DH and I each visited WDW in the 1970's when we were teenagers and so when we got married, we visited for our 1st year anniversary and were hooked. We remember when it was only MK and were there in 1982 during the first week when Epcot opened so I do remember how sparse things were back then. I loved seeing the pictures of your girls when they were younger! Your plans sound wonderful and you are going to love going to the deluxe resort extra magic hour evenings!!!

Thank you so much for your super positive vibes! My husband also remembers going there when he was little and staying at Contemporary and going only to Magic Kingdom because that’s all that was there at the time. So crazy! I love that you’ve been there to see so many changes over the years.
