The cottage scene doesn't bother me at all. It will probably look much better at night being lit up from within. Plus it leaves you with a "watch out snow white!"/"to be continued" vibe.
It's cute, but this isn't going to compete with the HP expansion at all.
It was never meant to.It's cute, but this isn't going to compete with the HP expansion at all.
Good point. If your train is stopped right here waiting for the previous train to unload/reload, you will likely get a touch more time to look at this last scene.I have to admit, for what this is, it looks spectacular.
I think you will be able to see more of the cottage than you see in these videos. Cameras provide a much more limited view than one of us would actually get. They can also easily play around with the timing there (and may very well do so to better allow for running multiple trains.
I mentioned this in the post for the exterior video of the ride; I was really expecting more swaying movement from the carts. In the previous exterior video, it didn't look like they were swaying at all, and it doesn't really look like it in this video either. Wasn't that supposed to be one of the key features for the ride?
Absolutely agree. I believe it was a last minute decision as well. Pixie Hollow with a bunch of M&Gs and a possible C-ticket vs the mine coaster. Would a more thrilling ride have appealed to me? I guess so, but I never expected that in Fantasyland. I do know, had they kept with the original plans of Pixie Hollow, I and the rest of the family would not have spent anytime there. We are however, looking forward to riding 7DMT on our next trip.
IDK from the video... It did seem that the train stopped at the cottage. However, the back of the train has no view inside the cottage while stopped there. Then the train is pulled into the station extremely fast.Good point. I kind of felt the same. The mine scene is truly fantastic, well worth the ride. But that cottage scene felt lacking, almost distant. If the windows weren't as blurred out and the train slowed a little bit more as it passes by the cottage, the scene would feel a bit warmer. But I love the witch at the end and that elements of the old Snow White ride are incorporated into this one. It may not be a headlining attraction, but it is definitely a solid addition to the park. Also, after watching the POVs and rider reactions, I think we can put to rest any worries that the swinging won't be prominent, in fact it looked somewhat intense in the second half of the ride.I think overall it is okay. I know it's not supposed to be a massive E ticket but I still feel like it is missing something. IMO the cottage scene is terrible and embarrassing, however the mine scene is great. Makes me wonder why they felt the need to keep the Barnstormer when they now have this in New Fantasyland.
Yep, because no one has seen the movie... we have no idea what happens next.Don't you love it when a story just ends with no resolution?
Right, but at this point, I think they only had 1 train on the track at the time. There were I think only reports of multiple trains starting today. I feel like if there is a train there in load, the stop at the cottage might be extended a touch. It's all speculation of course, we'll see once people start getting on the ride for real.IDK from the video... It did seem that the train stopped at the cottage.
