We can't really plan our trips around a full moon, but this past summer, our trip corresponded to one. I think it may have been a blue moon. I just remember standing in Adventureland and looking up at it for a few minutes with my parents and grandparents. It was beautiful, and being at WDW somehow just made it so much better.

I was at Disney once for a Lunar Eclispe, it was AWSOME! I remember riding to the top of barnstormer to get a good view of the moon!

Nothing like a big, fat, infamous Florida downpour to cover up what would have been a lovely full moon... :lookaroun

Well, the lunar eclipse has passed, and none of the parks were open that late yesterday. Was it really cloudy last night at WDW cause it was down here. :(

I tried watching the lunar eclipse last night - great way to finish the famous October moons! I saw half of it and then it got cloudy. Later on, around 12:30pm, I was awaken by the brightness of it! I woke up seriously thinking it was time to go to work! Then I realized it was almost 1am! I swear, the night was so clear! :)

Not to wdw, but I was in the Falls of Iguazú in Argentina last year for a full moon, and during 4 nights around the full moon, they have this amazing walking tour around the national park and to the biggest fall, 'Garganta del Diablo' (Devil´s throat). It was AMAZING and I highly reccomend it if you are ever around that place ;)

After that trip, I try to check if there is a full moon while I´m travelling - watching it from the plane is also beautiful! :)

We have been fortunate enough to be at the beach for a couple of full moons during late summer. This is when the sea turtle eggs hatch! We've also watched a mother crawl out of the surf to lay her eggs. You have to be very, very careful, as any noise, light, etc. will disturb them, and they might leave.

It goes without saying that unless you're part of the turtle patrol you're not allowed to touch them.

It was actually pretty clear the other night here and I got a great video of the eclipse. I sat out and videotaped about 10 minutes of it and got THE coolest thing on it. I was watching planes from O'Hare and Midway fly over and following them with the camera and got one plane about 20,000-30,000 feet up fly right into the light of the moon. It looks really cool on pause. Getting a shot like that and lightning have been two of my goals in photography, now I've got one done! :sohappy:

Now, on topic, I've been at WDW during a full moon but didn't take any pictures, just spent a lot of time watching it.

Did MNSSHP with the parental units last night, during the full moon. It was quite nice but I don't think I managed to get any shots of it in my night-time photos.
