Ft Wilderness Feature Pool

Does anyone have a picture they could share of this pool? As I think of all the different resorts, I'm thinking this is one of the only ones whose pool I've never seen. Maybe Animal Kingdom Lodge as well. But I think I've seen the pools of all the other resorts, either in pictures, on TV, or in person. I'd really love to stay at Ft Wilderness sometime, if I can get the money to afford it, and I would love to see what it's pool looks like.

Ya, I'm talking about Ft Wilderness.

I don't know if the pool was originally themed or not, but from reading the latest issue of Celebrations, it seems that there is a refurb taking place in which they are going to have some of the old River Country props in there. Of course, I don't expect anyone to have pictures of that, since it isn't completed, but at least if someone can post a pic of what it currently looks like, that would be great.

We stayed at the Ft. Wilderness Cabins a few yrs back and the pool they have is just a basic pool, no themeing to it. I remember correctly it used to have a section that was like a little water park but was destroyed when one of the hurricanes came through. You used to be able to see it when you caught the boat over to the MK.

They have just completed the up grades to the pool. It now has a water slide going around the old River County water tank and there is a splash zone for the younger kids. The pool no longer has a deep end and is about 3.5 feet deep.

The thread I linked above goes thru from the beginning to the end.

River County was closed due to the fact there were two other water parks and the cost to refurbish and get to the current codes was not feasible.
