And don't start with moving IASW again, It's starting to become a running gag like the weasel in America sings

Lol... When I referenced IASW earlier I was talking about how parts of the Mexico ride remind me of it. I don't like the idea of moving the ride either. It might make sense on some level to put it there, but today's TDO would be more likely to shut it down and not reopen it than to move it, so it can stay where it is imo ;)

Travel is exciting, especially the potential travel to destinations one can only dream about visiting. El Rio del Tiempo and Maelstrom do not have to be stodgy travelogues. Moreover, they do not have to be animated shorts that trivialize culture, enforce misconceptions and perpetuate stereotypes.

While I appreciated the charm of El Rio del Tiempo and find the Maelstrom storyline line to be enchanting, I do understand that attractions are not permanent collections in a museum.

Soarin' is a travelogue for California, which clearly demonstrates that travel-based attractions can be innovative and exciting. I truly hope for reimagining that captures both excitement and the essence of these countries.

Regarding the Gran Fiesta Tour, I would appreciate the experience more if Donald, Panchito and Jose identified the sites of Mexico as they traveled through them.

World showcase needs to remain just that a showcase of those countries its a nice dimension to the world of Disney and should give a new perspective to another place/culture. There is so much room in Disney parks for rides about their characters it is worldly conscious for Disney to portray the countries and their sights /even if they end up being places for Disney travel:) Keep the characters out of the countries except to narrate about the virtues of that country. like Olaf for Norway or Snow for Germany etc...

"One little spark, of crystallization,
is at the heart, of solidification.
Right at the start, of everything that's cool.
One little spark, freezes for you!"

Scientifically inaccurate. Cold is the absence of heat and energy, and when things are cold, there is less movement on the molecular level. Spark implies activity, energy, or motion.

The new attraction will feature Frozone as he puts the moves on Elsa. Barry White tunes will play in the background while Olaf gives warm hugs to everyone!
UM, Frozone is MARRIED.

The only support from this NOT happening is if Norway funds.

The only other approach I could see is if the management at DHS is so enthralled with Frozen after this summer's activities that they push to have a Frozen ride there instead. Frozen seems to be buffering attendance there and maybe they wouldn't want to give that up and let Epcot reap the benefits of a Frozen.

Yeah, it's a long shot.

I don't think of it as having a storyline, but I don't think rides have to have one. It's an experience ride, where you get a taste of the history and culture of Norway, not a linear narrative.

Personally, I love Maelstrom and I don't quite get the hate it gets here. I'd be happy to see it stay as is, with just refurbishment to keep it clean/fresh/operating well.

The linear narrative. When did all Dis rides begin NEEDING to follow a defined story? Many of the best DIS rides are much more about, as you say, experiencing the world you are being placed into. Pirates, HM, BTMRR. Why does everything have to be, first A happened, then B, then C.....

I like it too, but I won't pretend that it's without flaws. After the second troll/ falls sequence, you're plopped in front of an oil rig and there's no explanation or exposition, not even a "Even though Norway embraces industry, many professions still require that hardy spirit that our ancestors possessed."

That's actually a pretty good line. Bravo :)

Exactly. Soarin' is also a great example of the concept.
