Don't know the details. Just know they really like the scene at the end of Frozen & they would like Elsa to change the flooring so people can have some fun
That... Hmm. Neat, but it sounds like a safety risk.

The information i was given has this running through Sept 30, also the end of the Fiscal Year.
So yes, it runs through labor day.

Might it get renewed after Sept., if DHS hits it out of the park?
Malls don't hold the capacity of HS and people don't walk around malls at 11.30 am with beers
Aren't the Osborne Family lights currently occupying the theater? Where would those take up residence?
Why are people saying lawsuits would happen? Um, you can fall on ice. It happens. No one is going to sue because little Johnny slipped on the ice. People fall all of the time on ice rinks. I agree it probably won't happen at WDW but at the same time, lawsuits? Really? LOL
good point, and of course I don't know the answer; still with regards to beer at 11:30 in the studios, I never heard anyone compare the drinking within the studios to the so called "Drunkytown" so many refer to Epcot as, at least during F&W. I've not witnessed anything in terms of drunken shenanigans at the Studios ever, though I'm sure it's possible. But it's also possible at a mall. Then again, how does DLR's DTD handle that issue? Unless they don't serve alcohol out there?
I'm pretty sure it's 3rd party that Disney forces to carry a healthy liability insurance policyI agree with this 100%... if I had a dollar for every time I saw someone fall (or every time I fell while training, for that matter lol) I wouldn't have to work ever again. And I haven't been to an ice rink in over a decade. But I also never once heard of anyone suing the rink over this kind of thing, and my parents were, for a period of several years, in management at one of the local rinks. I would have heard about it if that kind of thing had happened, at least anywhere near me (whether at our home rink or not) because word gets around quickly about that type of stuff. Even now, I would have heard if it was happening, at least in the Atlanta area.
On the other hand, I can't see Disney's legal team being too happy with the idea of the potential liability. The point about alcohol being involved is certainly a good one, and I'm not sure how they could keep people who have had a drink or two from putting on skates and getting hurt. Then the issue becomes, "Disney let me skate after serving me an alcoholic beverage."
