We made our countdown with about 200 days to go..this is what it looked like:

That is amazing! I can't even find some magnets to put on my Stateroom door for our upcoming cruise, what you have done here is just awesome. And I love that you can create it with simple items. A lot of love went in to that project and your family will be so excited by the time you peel away number one.

What a great idea!!! Next trip we will certainly do this! Great marketing thought!!

We are super into countdown calendars for Halloween and Easter. Plus we always have multiple Advent calendars!
Wish I had thought of it myself!!
My DH even loves the idea!!

Totally stealing your idea. I sent some pictures to Wal-greens to have them printed up. Just finished numbering the Post-Its. (73 Days to go.) I've got the poster board waiting at home. I will be assembling this tonight.

apparently the 10 year old counted and it will be his turn on Day 1.. but he already decided they are all going to do it together!

Will do.

I'm sure mine won't turn out as nicely. For one, my Post-Its are all the same color. But it's sure to turn out better than what I would have come up with on my own.

I had a similar idea, but I couldn't quite figure out how to pull it all together.

Anyway, I'm sure the girls will insist on taking a picture with it when it's finished. I will be sure to post it here.

hee hee.. I only had so many colors of post it's because we homeschool and I have more paper supplies than any one mom needs!

I thought about going out and buying more colors. But we never use them at home. So the pale yellow ones from the office will do the trick.

I shared your pictures with my WDW-hating wife to give her some idea of what I had planned. Her response, "Oh good lord." Anyone have some spare pixie dust lying around?

Yeah. She is pretty much the polar opposite of every one here. She thinks it's crazy that anyone would have a countdown. She's opposed to planning in any form. And yet, if anything goes awry at any point during the trip, she will be furious with me for my poor planning.

Last time she was mad at me when it rained.
