Friends of MJ

So I was listening to some of the songs that were in our wedding today and I have a new meaning for one of them now. As most of you know, just a few months before our wedding my brother suddenly died. Derek was there not just for me but my whole family. We grew even closer through all of that. So we had two of our closest friends sing a song as we lit our Unity Candle which reflected all that.

Listening to it just now, I didn't just think of Derek and me - I thought of you all. I want to share the lyrics to one of my favorite songs, which now has another very special place in my heart - due to my MJ friends:
(I wish I could have you all actually listen to the song as well - it's so lovely.)

I Will Be Here(Steven Curtis Chapman) Tomorrow morning if you wake up
And the sun does not appear,
I will be here.

If in the dark we lose sight of love,
Hold my hand and have no fear,
‘Cause I will be here.

CHORUS
I will be here when you feel like being quiet;
When you need to speak your mind, I will listen.
And I will be here when the laughter turns to crying;
Through the winning, losing, and trying, we’ll be together,
‘Cause I will be here.

Tomorrow morning if you wake up
And the future is unclear,
I will be here.

As sure as seasons are made for change,
Our lifetimes are made for years,
So I will be here.

CHORUS
I will be here, so you can cry on my shoulder;
When the mirror tells us we’re older, I will hold you.
And I will be here to watch you grow in beauty,
And tell you all the things you are to me;
I will be here.

I will be true to the promise I have made,
To you and to the One who gave you to me.

As sure as seasons are made for change,
Our lifetimes are made for years,
So I, I will be here.
We'll be together and i will be here.

We played it at the lighting of our unity candle too. It's a wonderful song!

well a couple of facts first.

Due date July 2nd. Birth Date June 2nd
Her doctor was out of town all that week. So she saw the on call doctor all week that she was in starting the day after labor day when I first told you all. So we went back and forth back and forth and finally they decided to get the baby out. So Friday night they started the Pit drip. She was having contractions but since the doctor on call had a dinner date, they stopped the drip. They started her again at 5:30 am Saturday morning and she started have the painful contraction at about 10:30. she gets her epidural at 11:00 and then starts to have a conversation with her nurse whom she really likes. She tells the nurse that her doctor is not an advocate of ...... of.... ok we are all adults here right? of episiodomy. If you don't know..ask your mother and prepare to see her cringe. The nurse tells her that the doctor on call is the episiodomy king. Like he HAS to do one regardless. Linde was adimit that she did not want one. I had to agree with her! (For somewhat selfish reasons I admit) Well the nurse smiles and says I'll see what I can do. So the doc comes in.. Linde is at 7cm and progressing nicely. Doc says he will make his rounds in the baby ward and return. As soon as he leaves the nurse puts Linde in a fire hydrant position and she starts going really fast. I run to the waiting room to get her sisters so they can watch. I stay back to explain to Kayden what is happening and the Linde's oldest sister comes running back telling me I need to hurry. I get in there and the baby is crowning. one more push and there he is.. just like that. The nurse holds the baby, looks at the other nurse and says.. ok.. you can page the doc now! He came in to deliver and saw the baby and you could tell he was not happy.. but who cares. I did not like him either!
