Freebie with my AP Renewal

I renewed my AP last week on-line and when I went to MK yesterday I figured I'd exchange the voucher for my new ticket and get it out of the way.

I just have a normal Florida Resident AP but when I did the conversion, they added one free day at one of the water parks good through 3/7/09 at no additional charge.

Anyone else ever see them do anything like this on an AP?

^^That's a nice bonus - congratulations! My AP expired last week, but I was waiting to renew it in person when I arrive at WDW on Dec 10. This is good to know - thanks!

We renewed ours about two weeks ago and was given the same thing even though we already have premium anual passes with the Water Parks included, but will bring a couple of friends in with us next time we go.

Is this something to do with the go free on your Birthdays promo? Since you have a pass they add a free day to park you don't have a pass to?

There was an offer for Florida residents that if they bought an AP they could get a free day at one of the water parks.

When Disney was celebrating Walt's 100th birthday they had an offer where you could get an extra 100 days on your AP if you bought one during a specified time. I renewed my pass during that time and got the 100 extra days added to mine. That was the best offer ever.:sohappy:

Yes, it was.

It also was added after the attacks of 9/11 brought tourism to a standstill. It wasn't something they planned to do or did out of a sense of goodwill to their most loyal guests.
