So? Is that a reason To not give a guest a cup of water?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It's just how the logistics panned out at these locations.

I'd argue the water is a smaller symptom of the actual problem, which is mobile order being grossly inefficient at times. Management at those locations decided it's easier to have a bunch of ice cups ready to go when there are clumps of people waiting at the pick up windows rather than spending the extra seconds filling 4-5 water cups for a family.

Galactic Grill has those water-cooler style fountains to the left of the order/pick up windows which is likely why they give you the ice (I remember this always being the case since Disneyland reopened last year); I think Red Rose Taverne also has that kind of spigot inside but can't be sure.
That's been going on for at least twenty years at those locations. They would give you a cup and ice and you will it up at the water-cooler fountains near the condiments.

No
According to the Disneyland website, in addition to the one they added next to Autopia there should also be a bottle filling station somewhere near the bathrooms between the AL and FL entrances.

I'm far more irritated by the straw situation. Paper straws are TERRIBLE!!!

I was super excited to recently find one place at the park using compostable straws that were not traditional plastic and not paper but worked just fine. I even told the CMs there the straws were great and they should keep them! lol

The removal of functioning straws from hip restaurants in the USA is the ultimate in worthless virtue signaling.

The United States does not flush its waste into the oceans. The average straw given to a patron at a burger stand in California or Iowa or South Carolina is not going to be flushed into the sea. Unless, of course, the patron who received the straw makes a point of driving down to the ocean, plucking their straw from their chocolate shake or Coke, and purposely throwing their straw into the sea.

The plastic waste in the world's oceans is almost entirely from Communist China and/or Third World nations in Central America, South America, the Indian subcontinent, and Africa who all still flush their waste openly into rivers that lead directly to their seacoast. That's where the plastic garbage in the ocean comes from, not from your local In-N-Out franchise or Tomorrowland Terrace.

This is how Third World nations get rid of their garbage, but this is not how the County of Orange, the State of California, or the Disneyland Resort disposes of the waste from Tomorrowland Terrace.

Exactly.

It's technically a reason why a Dockers-clad manager and their clueless TDA executives who have no idea what their product is or how their customers use their product can all justify to themselves whey they can't give their "Guests!" a cup of ice water if a "Guest!" asks for one. Also, because it's World Class Guest Service! that they're giving you.

But it's not actually a reason to give a paying customer a glass of ice water with their over-priced meal. 🧐

Straws are actually among the most frequently collected kind of litter in US beach cleanups (as they are throughout the world). They are a global problem and should be globally tackled.

The fact is, the US absolutely plays a part in harmful plastic waste and should therefore be playing a part in mitigating this problem.

I recommend purchasing metal straws, if you’re that bothered by paper ones. I have a traveling set of metal straws, and they’re great.

Show us a video of US municipalities flushing their waste en masse out to sea, and we can talk.

Until then, it's virtue signaling over a tiny, trivial amount of plastics. Straws. From a burger stand. At Disneyland.

Nope.

The fact is the United States does not dump its waste into the oceans, nor does it dump its waste into rivers that lead to oceans. The US is a First World nation that has strict laws on the books in all 50 states that mandate waste be dumped in strictly regulated landfills, and/or recycled into new products.

In Orange County, in fact, some waste sent to landfills creates natural methane that is used to generate electricity.

So basically, in Orange County the waste from Tomorrowland Terrace gets turned into electricity that gets sent back to Tomorrowland to power Space Mountain.

@Californian Elitist, if you have evidence of any city or government agency, or even a small beachside burger stand, that is purposely dumping its waste into the ocean or a river you should call 1-888-334-CALTIP with that information so the state government may investigate and apprehend that polluter.

Yep.

This bundle comes with 12 straws, two cleaners, and its own bag starting at just $6.99. The other colors cost a few bucks more. Either way, they’re a great deal. Feel free to buy them elsewhere outside of Amazon as well.

Anyways, back to the original topic of the thread…

I like the all silicone ones. No problem with metal detectors and pack even easier. So far no problem with collapsing.
