Agreed, but soda is only a portion of the obesity problem. Portion control and daily calorie intake with no fruits and vegetables are a far greater issues than sugary drinks.

I agree.. but being as this was a thread about soda.. I read a comment, and then added/agreed with a single statement... regarding- Soda, a major contributor to unhealthy weight.

Then, apparently said comment confused a few people.. and it went nuts from there.

Did anyone ever answer the original question about free refills no longer being a thing? I'm not reading through 17 pages of the forum's resident crazies debating healthy living.
I am not a nutritionist, although my sister is, so I will limit any further comments on this discussion to the following. If, indeed, refills have stopped at WDW, you would still be hearing the echos of the screaming generated by the completely entitled. Hasn't happened so, I will go out on a limb here and say that neither has the elimination of refills.

Incorrect. Ketone bodies. Google it. Plus amino acids can converted to sugar to supply the brain. Christ, do some research.

Also, the vast majority of the populace don't run half marathons. Your dietary requirements are the minority.

I know that. Which I've stated. And I've done research. Know and worked with nutritionists, who are PhDs doing research into the field of nutition at a top tier research university.

I seriously think I'll die from exposure to bad grammar before carbs, fats or aliens get me.
Yes, you have to watch out for bad grammars.

Here’s a label for a 20oz Coca-Cola

There is not one positive thing listed below.. it is strictly empty calories.. and it’s more than half of someone’s sugar allowance for an entire day. If you drink 1 20oz Coke per day and then only eat once per day.. your body will end up storing fat.

How many calories are we eating "once a day". Forty or 4,000?

Actually, it matters GREATLY what you eat. Vitamins and minerals help shore up bones, heal wounds, and bolster your immune system. They also convert food into energy, and repair cellular damage. A low calorie diet with little regards for nutrients is a disaster. The problem with the American diet is both the amount of calories consumed and what is consumed. And please distinguish between carbs. Complex carbohydrates - fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, legumes, are essential to the proper nutrition of our "machine". Simple carbs are garbage.

You're talking about eating healthy. I'm talking about losing/gaining weight. If you overeat healthy foods, you gain weight as well.
