I am curious, I have already booked our entire honeymoon for November with the dining plan. I have already made a few payments on our trip as well. Is it still possible for me to get the dining plan for free? We are staying at a moderate resort.

As long as there is availability for your dates, you should be able to switch to the new package.:)

Is it possible to receive free dining if you are a pass holder?

Thanks

Yes! You would need to book a package with one day tickets. The one day tickets can be used to upgrade to any more expensive ticket, so you can use those tickets to renew your annual pass if you're going to be at Disney when the renewal is up, purchase a new annual pass, or just save them for a future trip.

Most passholders find that they save so much on the dining, it's worth the small hassle of having some extra tickets.

I can run the numbers for you if you'd like! Just shoot me an email, or give me a call.:)

Oops, Master Yoda and I were responding at the same time.:)

It is kinda strange that they limited the dining by the resorts with the visa offer. The pin code that I got let me stay at a value and get the regular dining plan with table services so I did better with the pin. I thought you usually got the better or same deal with the visa??

In the past you have but it looks like they switched it up a bit this time. This offer is actually pretty similar to the UK free dining offer.

Wahoo! It's official, I have now switched to free dining! Thanks for the info Disneyfalcon!

P.S. I should also note that since this seems to be brand new, tell the CM booking your reservation about it. She initially told me about the old promotion which only went up to October I think? I had to insist that it was for September through December and she found it :)

I believe you posted about a pin code you received from Disney. Pin codes only work for the person they are sent to. This is open to anyone with a Disney Visa. No pin code needed.:)

Just an fyi...I've seen different requirements for this promo on different websites (i.e. Mousesavers says "you must purchase a vacation package that includes at least 3 consecutive hotel nights at an official Walt Disney World resort, plus at least a one-day theme park ticket.")

But when I accessed the Disney Rewards offer straight through my online Chase account, it said the following:

8124_offer-wdwjuly09freedine_header.gif

For stays most nights
9/29 - 11/24/2009
and 11/29 - 12/17/2009

Disney Quick Service Dining Plan
Save $149 per adult at Select Disney Value Resorts.
• Includes 2 quick-service meals and 2 select snacks per person per night of your package stay. You’ll also receive a mug you can refill as often as you like at any quick-service location at your Resort hotel.

Savings based on the non-discounted price of the Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining.

Disney Dining Plan
Save $199 per adult at select Disney Moderate, Deluxe and Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts.
• Includes 1 table-service meal, 1 quick- service meal and 1 select snack per person, per night of your package stay, with over 100 participating restaurants to choose from—including restaurants that feature Character Dining! Excludes gratuities.

Savings based on the non-discounted price of the Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining.

For those of you that want to call Disney directly and book, here's the codes:

Value Resorts - EVN (Quick-Service Dining only)
Moderate & Deluxe - GCA (Disney Dining Plan)

You have to pay for your deposit and remaining package costs using your Disney Visa, so no cheating :brick:

The requirements aren't different, MouseSavers is right, you need to have at least a 3 night package. The pricing on the Chase site is sample pricing for a 5 night stay - it doesn't state that 5 nights is required.

So...if I'm currently booked through AAA, I probably can't combine this deal with their discount, huh? Hmm.... do we suppose that this is a precursor to the deal being extended for the general public? Typically I think that AAA will offer the general deals packaged with their discount, right?

You are correct, AAA can't combine it with their discount. If it is released to the general public, they can't combine that with their discount either. It's one discount per package.
