FP+ For Frozen

So do the fp open up at 7am et for 60 days from that current date or from that date and the rest of your trip? Example family a is there 20-27th family b is there 22-29th, does this allow family a to get a jump on family b by 2 days on picking out passes for the 22-27 over family b.

Actually at midnight ET you can book FP online on Disney. I stay up late and booked mine and just did that 30 days ago.

The other night about 20 minutes before opening the wait time was listed at 60 minutes. It actually took 10 min so we rode twice.

Check even the night before your 60 day point! I was able to do mine early and I don't know why but maybe it will work for you as well. Personally i would not wait for this ride if I didn't have a fast pass. Not worth 2+ hours. The ride is too quick and not that great. But maybe that's just me since I am still mourning the loss of Maelstrom !

The critical piece of information you need was stated earlier-at your 60day point get online(or call) as early as possible and grab those passes! When we went in early Jan 15-22 (lite crowd level), I was never able to grab a fast pass for Frozen other than the ones I had secured at the 60 day time point. The same could be said for SDMT.

In my experience doing FEA or SDMT right at park closing works great. Once the Fastpass line ceases to exist, the standby line moves quickly.

For both rides, entering the stand-by queue right at closing resulted in a 10-15 minute wait, despite 60+ minutes posted wait time.

For me that's preferable to doing the rope drop approach, where getting there early essentially means you waited quite a while for the ride, regardless of how short the "actual" wait at the attraction is.
