Anyone bring in an motorhome into Fort Wilderness campground? Was wondering if they are pull thrus, and what hook ups they have there, 30/50amps, cable, etc.

We've not taken a motorhome (just our pull camper), but I'm pretty certain that they are all back-in sites. I also recall that you can get a partial (water & electric) or full hook-up (water, electric, sewer & cable) - which you would obviously want.

It's the best campground we've ever stayed at.

They have mostly back-in sites, but there are a few pull through sites. When you make your reservation, you can request the pull through. It's not guaranteed, but they will try to accomodate you. If you have already made your reservation, just call and request the pull through. The sites are great! You want to get a full hook-up or the preferred hook-up. Both have power, water, and sewer but the preferred has cable. Fort Wilderness is an awesome place to camp! Be sure to check out the Campfire Sing-a-Long with Chip n' Dale followed by a Dsiney movie. It's all great fun!

The sites are all very spacious. My parents park their 40 foot motorcoach and are able to park their small Explorer in front of it, as well as pitch a tent behind for extra storage when we're visiting. Don't forget to bring your outdoor decorations. People really do up their sites. You will love the campground. It's very clean and the magic of Disney takes over.

Most of the sites are back up, not pull thru which can be a bit challengeing. However as everyone has said Ft. Wilderness is a GREAT campsite. Well shaded, Easy access to MK, Good activitives.

My only beef with it is the Pools, they are very plain, ordinary, square cement pools. With all the themed pools at Value and moderates I am REALLY hoping that they will redo the Meadows pool with a theme some day.

Rumor had it that River Country was slated to be FWC pool, but due to the water issues I doubt that will ever happen.

Enjoy your stay!

Thanks for the info. Back in isn't a problem, and I noticed another thread that said Resort TV is available on the cable in the campground.

Yes, the cable is available, but if you opt for a site without it, the regular tv reception isn't too bad. The only bad part is that you don't get the Disney events channels that are very helpful when you're there.

It looks like there is a certain number of trees. Trees in wrong position=no satellite. Besides I want the Resort TV. :)

Yes, make sure you reserver a Prefered site, these do have cable outlets so you can get the resort TV. Bring your own Coax too, we got burned the fisrt time we ever went cause we forgot that.

Thank god for Walmart Supercenter on Osceola Parkway.

On the off chance that preferred sites are all taken, do what I (and apparently a lot of other people) do, and record all the Disney specials on Travel Channel & Food Network.

My parents just bought an RV. I think it's the only way I'll ever convince them to come to WDW even though I know they'll love it there. Glad to see Resort TV is available at FW, it wouldn't be the same without it.
