Preseason testing is just around the corner...who is excited? :)
Not really bothered about pre-season as various teams will be sandbagging. We won't know anything until the first race.
However
We do have Race of Champions to look forward to in Febuary

I just want to see the new cars out on the track.
Yep. I am always happy for testing. I mean I watched the testing the two or three days after the season ended with the legacy cars. It’s fun just to see the cars out there.

Changed the thread title to 2022. And now some news…

Otmar Szafnauer has left Aston Martin and looks to be joining Alpine. I always enjoy when I get to hear him speak…expecting a heavy Eastern European accent and, well…he’s American so the accent thing always throws me off a bit.

BWT had also left Aston Martin and will be the prominent sponsor for…Alpine. No coincidence there, huh. So, we may get the pink cars back, just with a different team.

Rumors from several sources say Mercedes is in talks with Pierre Gasly to take over Hamilton’s ride if Hamilton calls it quits. Big big big if there, as I think Hamilton is simply trying to get the attention he thinks he deserves. Anyway, Gasly is my favorite driver and I hope he either gets that ride or Red Bull moves him up soon. I like Perez, but I think he really underperformed last year and cost Red Bull the constructors championship.

Some car reveals coming up in the next few weeks and the first testing session in Spain in about a month.

I’m sick of hearing about the Hamilton thing. Mercedes this and that. They need to get over themselves.

Well, the first look at one of the actual new cars. The RB18…or as I will be referring to it, the “Duck Bill.”

Oracle has to be paying a filthy amount of money to replace Red Bull as the main sponsor on an actual Red Bull.

You know what's funny?
Yeah, the RB nose certainly extends out quite a bit more. We may know for sure when we see the actual Haas car as opposed to a rendering.
Speaking of Haas, I really hope they are competitive this year. I mean, they should be right? After investing everything in 2022 and spending nada for 2021.
