Forget character dining. How about a chracter DINER?

I'm talking about an on-property 24 hour diner that also has unscheduled (or at least an unposted schedule of) visits from Disney characters who are, in theory, there to eat but are only too happy to pose for pictures, give an autograph, maybe even sing a little song, like old-school Hollywood musicals: "Oh, no I couldn't I couldn't possibly well all right if you insist here's a little number I sang in my movie and a one and a two..."

The characters are completely random, and not necessarily the usual suspects you see at other character dining locations, and even if you're getting pancakes at 3am before catching an early flight home, you could conceivably see Big Al and Jasmine.

I have often thought a House of Mouse dining experience would be money. Have different characters show up each day and run classic animation shorts on a big screen.

I would pay HUGE money for this! As long as they would bring back lost characters and random appearances by villains and not use the same 4 same characters, it would be a hit!

That is a super fun idea. When are you applying for your Imagineering job? I think they need you.

The only problem I see with this is that it would be so mobbed, I would never be able to get near the front door.

I really love the idea of it being any character at any given time. The graveyard shifts would also likely be great for training time for new people and it could be the perfect opportunity to put more uncommon characters back into the public eye.

I would love a good 50's style diner on property period, something in Disney Springs perhaps. Character showing up would be the icing on the cake.

An old fashioned, shiny silver, art deco diner with random character visits? Brilliant and therefore highly unlikely, but a great idea. I'd put in at Disney Springs near the parking decks. It would stay busy.

ANYTHING where you could go eat 24 hours while in Disney and it had that "Disney Feel" would be ideal. This sounds awesome though. I would love to eat a greasy burger and then get my picture taken with Brer Rabbit.

This would be a great fit for Hollywood Studios, which needs table service venues! Instead of a diner, I'm picturing an Old Hollywood-style restaurant modeled after the club where Jessica performs in Roger Rabbit, with special appearances by random Toontown residents (or other Disney characters) both onstage and off, open 24/7.

Diner or nightclub, you've got a great idea -- I think it would quickly become the hottest and most sought-after ADR on property.
