Trip Report Forget about your worries and your strife. 🌞 Live trip report.

Quick recap of my pre-trip report to refresh memories or as just as catchup.
I (Mimi) am going on a solo trip to Disney World, 14 glorious days at AKL to do what I want, when I want.:joyfull:

This morning I woke up excited and ready to go, I threw the last things into my suitcase, double checked everything and happily went out in the rain to catch the bus to the train station. I gave myself plenty of time to get to the airport incase of delays etc. but luckily everything went smoothly and I arrived at the airport with plenty of time to share.
I looked around the shops a bit and took some photos to kill the time.

These cups in a cafe don't spin but are cute none the less.

Finally it was time to board my first flight.

This add made me smile as it was spot on.:)

The flight from Amsterdam to London was only 50 minutes and kind of boring except for the 2 Dutch ladies sitting in the row behind me. They were very unhappy that none of the flight attendants spoke Dutch, keep in mind that this was a British Airways flight, and complained loudly that it shouldn't be allowed for airlines to fly out of Amsterdam without at least one Dutch speaking crew member and the ladies refused to speak English to the crew. I didn't understand their logical at all and was happy the crew members didn't understand what they were saying. I was tempted to turn around to point out their stupidity but refrained. 🙊

Soon enough we landed safely at Gatwick, my hotel was easy to find and the check in staff were friendly and professional. My room is as expected, small and modern.

The shower is right in front of the toilet without a barrier:hilarious: not the best layout but fine for just a night.

No view as my room doesn't have a window.
Now I am just watching some TV, wishing it was tomorrow.:)

Enjoy your last day - if u remember and get a chance can you take a picture of the ticket prices for buying on the day - I’m curious for a friend who asked whether to buy when there or at home - tickets seem so expensive now days!
Thanks - safe journey back to reality,

I am checked in for my flight at MCO, sad to be leaving but so happy I got to spent two full weeks at my happy place.
I didn't finish yesterday so will start where I left off, in the very long line at SSE. Within 15 minutes or so the ride opened up again and it didn't take long to clear all those people in front of me.
And I was on my way to the future by visiting the past.

The guy on the right is reading a German love poem to the other guy, something about my heart is your heart.

My future self apparently likes to ski, my current self does not.

I had enjoyed the Pixar short festival so much the other day I went to see it again and I was glad I did. This time the stage was moving with 3D effects and it made it even more impressive.

My next FP was for Soarin, I was sitting next to a non verbal disabled boy and watching his excitement and joy made the flight even better, his mother told me that Soarin is his favorite and it is one of the few words he knows how to sign.
Third FP was for LWTL, a much quieter experience this time as it was sans continuously talking family.
Pretty Orchids.:inlove:

Besides doing the dive I hadn't spent much time in the Seas pavilion so I made my way over there, I rode Nemo because I had forgotten it is mostly just screens you move passed.

I did have fun walking around the aquarium and seeing it from the other side this time.

It was now time for food.
First up the tacos from Mexico I had last week. Second time they were just as tasty.

Next up a bacon and cheese roll from the patisserie is France.

This was a little bit disappointing, it lacked flavor and was too chewy.

Next up, the best part of any meal, dessert.
From Decadent Delights a s'mores tart. It was good but not as good as the sweet potato mouse was.

My last choice of the day was Breakfast in a cup, Twinnings chai tea with bacon and maple syrup. This was very sweet and hardly tasted like chai but the bacon made it delicious.

The band was just starting when I walked past the UK. They played all the greatest hits and got the crowd joining in.
