Trip Report Forget about your worries and your strife. 🌞 Live trip report.

Quick recap of my pre-trip report to refresh memories or as just as catchup.
I (Mimi) am going on a solo trip to Disney World, 14 glorious days at AKL to do what I want, when I want.:joyfull:

This morning I woke up excited and ready to go, I threw the last things into my suitcase, double checked everything and happily went out in the rain to catch the bus to the train station. I gave myself plenty of time to get to the airport incase of delays etc. but luckily everything went smoothly and I arrived at the airport with plenty of time to share.
I looked around the shops a bit and took some photos to kill the time.

These cups in a cafe don't spin but are cute none the less.

Finally it was time to board my first flight.

This add made me smile as it was spot on.:)

The flight from Amsterdam to London was only 50 minutes and kind of boring except for the 2 Dutch ladies sitting in the row behind me. They were very unhappy that none of the flight attendants spoke Dutch, keep in mind that this was a British Airways flight, and complained loudly that it shouldn't be allowed for airlines to fly out of Amsterdam without at least one Dutch speaking crew member and the ladies refused to speak English to the crew. I didn't understand their logical at all and was happy the crew members didn't understand what they were saying. I was tempted to turn around to point out their stupidity but refrained. 🙊

Soon enough we landed safely at Gatwick, my hotel was easy to find and the check in staff were friendly and professional. My room is as expected, small and modern.

The shower is right in front of the toilet without a barrier:hilarious: not the best layout but fine for just a night.

No view as my room doesn't have a window.
Now I am just watching some TV, wishing it was tomorrow.:)

I love your challenge for the day. I'm glad you accomplished it. I told my husband about it and now he wants to try 12 before 12 as well. Two years ago on the 4th of July we did 4 Parks for the 4th, and we did at least one attraction in each park and used Disney transportation and accomplished that by noon.

4 parks before noon is quite an accomplishment! I will put that on the list for the next trip. 😃

My husband and I had a little giggle over the Hanes black socks, it just seems like a simple thing to want. My husband likes that brand too and understands why he would want them. :)

I also love how much you are using your balcony, it seems as if you are doing a lot in the parks and still taking time to relax. Well done!

So far behind again I had had the goal of keeping up. Hope you are not home before I ever finish reading. It has been a hoot and thank you for doing the LIVE. So many details. Love it.

Sorry about your experience with the irate man!! Fop brings out the worst in some people! We were getting strapped in and the woman next to me refused to lean forward because she said she was claustrophobic. The cm said she had to either move up fully or exit the ride. She kept insisting she didn’t need to be fully forward and I was surprised at how professional the CM was. Eventually she gave in and got off, I felt bad for both parties!

I love every part of FoP ride. Still what a quirky banshee they did design. Given the latitude of ages that ride the attraction and their physical abilities I am surprised. Equally surprised that the boat doesn't or at least didn't when opened a wheelchair accessible boat.
Thinking Disney by 2018 could be more mindful and sensitive to guests needs.

Running around the MK this morning made me hungry so I hopped on the monorail to the Poly to try a fan favorite.
Pulled pork nachos. View attachment 260180
I don't care for onions or tomatoes so asked for without. I wanted to eat these in the Tambu lounge but they don't start serving nachos until 4pm so I am sitting at Captain's Cook now.

Shouldn't nachos have tortilla chips?

I so want to try those! Also without the onion or tomato...and maybe without the pineapple as I don't like pineapple...how were they? I didn't realize they weren't tortilla chips!!

I had 2 traumatized. They did give us some cute little fake toy bugs when we left the show early. Don't know if they still do that. This was probably 11 years ago.
They must not....or at least not all the time. DH had to take DS out screaming and he didn't get any fake bugs. Though, to be honest, I think that might have freaked him out more if they tried. Like....Here, kid....the bugs obviously terrified you, so have some more!:hilarious:

After the parade yesterday my phone's battery was nearly empty so I have no further pictures, sorry.
First I peopled watched for a bit waiting for the crowd to disperse and then I made my way over to CoP, this ride was part of the tour I did last week so it was extra interesting to ride it again having all this new information.
A spin on the people mover was next, followed by Mickey's Philharmagic. My last stop of the day was the Laugh Floor, I like how most of this show is different every time. I got the bus back to AKL and went to Kidani Village to visit Sanaa Lounge

Both were so good!!! The service was friendly and like Jambo House it is all beautifully themed.
With my tummy extremely full I walked back to Jambo House to enjoy my balcony for awhile before going to bed.

My last full day:( It is chilly but beautiful blue sky with sunshine so I am happy.
I just love Epcot so I wanted to spend the day here mostly just soaking it all in. I started with TT single rider line.

This was fun as always, I only had a 20 minute wait which I thought was good.
Next I watched these guys for awhile.
DSC_1138.JPG

They are much funnier than I thought they would be. I was hoping for that Muppet mobile to be out but haven't seen it yet.
Looked at some of the art, I can't draw to save my life so I am so impressed with people that can.

I had an overpriced venti Starbucks coffee while walking around so needed to use the restroom and found one with flowers! First time I have seen flowers in the bathroom this trip. Despite getting some odd looks
I took a picture. :p

I was in the mood for something sweet and don't you know that the festival has a whole booth with chocolatey goodness called Decadent Delights.

I chose the White chocolate and Purple Sweet potato mousse. For $6.50 it was tiny but at least it was incredibly good. Just wish it had been twice the size.
